Forza 7 and assassins creed will be better to show off 4k than crackdown 3 due to its graphics/art style if it's following the same route as the previous games?

I recall reading somewhere that Moon Studios was looking forward to E3. Now that could be just them looking forward to what everyone is going to show there or because they yet to show their game.
Also last year in a Ori praise thread Thomas commented and said "wait till you see what we're working on now." something along those lines. This is all I know.

I would prefer AC to have a few graphic enhancements but more fluidity instead of just bumping it up to 4k.

Yep. Give us 4K checkerboard, a rock solid 30fps, and then a few other bells and whistles (draw distance, animation transition, for example).

Yeah I guess, I was more meaning from a wow perspective in terms of the supposed destruction of CD3's Multiplayer.
I think a Sea of Thieves opening showing off different quests, ship upgrades, loot, different weapons would be cool. Though I still think Scorpio makes more sense.

Crackdown makes the most sense to me. Show those explosions and crumbling buildings off while showing lots of players in that city doing their thing and show it all running from Scorpio.
Sea of Thieves is definitely not the kind of game I'd open the show with. It will likely be Spencer talking first and then show off the Scorpio. Don't they always open their show with Spencer welcoming everyone etc?

Agree with the Crackdown idea. If they show 4k@60 with explosions and crazy combat, it will be a great opening. They just need to show an Agility Orb on screen and people will freak out.
SoT does look great on XB1. The sea especially is damn fine looking. Scorpio version could be a real looker, even with its Rare cartoon style. Still loads of detail to show off.
1v100 and Fusion Frenzy revival. Hell, just do what they did with Phantom Dust!
I COMPLETELY forgot about Xbox Live Primetime! There are so many gameshows they could do with a revival

New Splinter Cell could be pretty sick now. Unfortunately I think MS has a higher chance of showing Assassins Creed than anything else. But I'm hoping Ubisoft keeps it for themselves cuz that's just wasted time for Microsoft, imo.
Why? MS doesn't exactly seem to have a lot to show games wise

I always fall for these kinds of rumours on GAF but I don't regret it. Speculation around e3 is the best time of the year.
Sounds like bullshit to me.
MS have an airtight ship this year, a sign they have been learning and adapting well.

Fable II is the best in the series. Love that game, the combat was simplistic, but fun (it of course could have been improved upon). Lucien was a non-traditional villain for a western RPG, not a great evil. Fable III was a regression in everything but level design and voice acting. They managed to make the combat worse and the villain ended up being a generic embodiment of evil with no motivation other than to destroy the world.

Honestly that's one of only two big bombas that I see Microsoft having, something to make a big splash in the industry. The other ace is a Minecraft sequel.
But a full Windows Xbox with Steam support and have a custom driver like that GeForce thing that optimizes your games for Scorpio's specs, that would be a giant bombshell.
It'll never happen. Why in the world would they do this unless they get a cut of Steam, which will never happen.
Makes zero sense otherwise.
Why do they need a cut from Steam? They're sinking so much into the back compat program, why not do this too if it would attract new users?

Just be a big improvement on previous, particularly last years which was very underwhelming imo.
Please no Minecraft section.
For what it's worth, Sneakers said that Madden 18 would be shown on stage, although I don't think that counts as an unannounced AAA third party title.
I think we can pretty much guess the E3 show. I think it will go as follows:
1. Scorpio showoff, something a little more special than the OneS, but along the lines. Everything shown runs on Scorpio. 5-10 minutes. sept17
Also 1. Short trailer of every game with scorpio support out of the gate like RE7, FFXV, Battlefield1, Gears4, Forza6/H3...
2. Crackdown 3 10-15 minute demo. Full destruction physics and something even more advanced than the nemesis system from Shadow of mordor thanks to the cloud (yeah, i know, whatever that means). Nov17
3. Assassin's Creed trailer (Ubisoft would be dumb if they don't get to show gameplay at their own stage).
4. Shadow of War launch trailer and one more gameplay showing.
5. Forza Motorsport 7 trailer and something special like vintage cars or whatever. Sept17, day one with scorpio
6. ReCore definitive edition with 4K textures. Now the game looks good and everybody loves it because it's finished.
7. Madden18 and/or third party AAA game (Splinter Cell?).
8. Indie section, Cuphead release date for august, Tacoma release in september and Ashen and Below get some stage time too. Minecraft here too, somehow.
9. 343i time. Halo5, Wars2 and MCC in 4K, Story DLC for HW2 leading to Halo6.
10. State of Decay 2 gameplay showing, 10 minutes. Releasing Oct17.
11. Studio Gobo's thing. Hopefully something Fable. May 18

Yeah thanks I forgot about Game Pass, they should definitely talk about that. Right after Scorpio showing, get the bs out of the way asap and let the games talk.
Also: I forgot about Ori2. I believe it's a given, since the dev said he was looking forward to the Xbox E3 this year. So that'd be one new game, although not unexpected.

That... seems like a very reasonable show. The only thing I'd add is a section about game pass, but I don't really expect any bombshell announcements with it. I do fully expect Scorpio's price/release date to be a pleasant surprise and I agree that they'll probably talk about it as soon as the show opens.

No offense that sounds like a terribly predictable show. I seriously doubt MS has zero unknown properties awaiting unveil at E3.
My personal take would be -
- Fable Reboot with a new partner studio. Mature theme, open world with co-op elements. Shared world experience.
- Sea of Thieves story trailer and demo of a Kraken boss fight.
- Forza.
- At least 1 new AAA IP from a partner studio
- State of Decay 2, shared world open world. Full demo.
- Crackdown 3, plenty of destruction. Multiplayer and co-op showcase. Full demo.
- New Scorpio accessories ie Controller and headset.
- 3rd party studio games eg Assassins Creed, Shadow of Mordor.
- Ori 2, now a 3D platformer.
- End the conference with a surprise. Preferably a new IP made in house.
Why would MS help steam? They don't make money on selling hardware?
They make money on the BC by selling games.

I think MS usually has predictable shows but I don't think that is necessarily bad. Just not anything that would get the blood pumping. MS may have something up their sleeve though.
They're going to talk about Minecraft Realms for console.
