Game soundtracks on vinyl | Analogue Gen 33fps

Yeah, I didn't even know you could fit 30 minutes on one side of a record. Hmm.

The problem isn't fitting it, but rather making it sound good. I think the record (heh) for longest playing time per side is something like 45 mins, which probably doesn't sound particularly good.

IIRC most pressing plants will recommend 18-22 mins. max. per side.

Hey does anyone have any good suggestions for turntables that are bluetooth enabled? Or wireless sound options in general?

I use the Akai BT500. I love it. It has a built-in pre-amp (which can be disabled with a button on the back) and using bluetooth is as simple as pressing a button to sync it. It even has built-in volume controls.

I really love the back cover for Silent Hill. The front is nice, but I would've preferred something a bit more iconic, maybe a nice painting of the Diner in the fog.

I have Bat Out of Hell II by Meat Loaf on vinyl. The first side is ~39 minutes long and it sounds awfully flat with lots of surface noise.

120 minutes over two LPs won't sound very good.

I thought the front cover for Silent Hill was terribad :/ At least the inside looks fucking awesome.
Hope SH2 will get a better treatment.

My record store is getting Silent Hill in on Friday so I'm getting it from them.

They're also getting the two official Ghost in the Shell (The 1995 anime movie) OSTs next week. I had pre-ordered it directly from Laced, but cancelled it since I don't have to pay shipping and wait 2-3 weeks to arrive. I'm pretty happy about this :)

I'm referring to the interior art, not the standard fog motif for sure- it's incredible.

I just hope it sounds wonderful, which by all accounts SH1 does.

I have a twitter account for some reason so I tweeted Spacelab9 in their announcement post asking for comment on cramming 120 minutes on 2 LPs. They have hardly any traffic, so there is 0 chance they didn't see what I asked. We'll see if they respond, or maybe they'll block me when I start asking the same question every other day.

All this Silent Hill talk made me pull out my copy and give it another spin. Man, you guys are in for a treat, it sounds awesome. And Mondo has pretty good quality control, my pressing is whisper quiet.

Yeah, and given the cost of the shipping (and the fact that I bought transistor and paid priority shipping prices and the damn thing STILL hasn't shipped almost a week later), I'm going to have to pass.

Update on this one, it STILL hasn't shipped. Sitting in pre-shipment for three days now. Just a heads-up for people ordering with Supergiant.

Data Discs... Give me that 1-2 punch of Gunstar and Altered Beast pleeeeeeease! Not much interest in SoR3, to be completely honest.

I've slowed my purchasing big time, but I'm definitely getting that. I was hoping for two releases again. :)
edit: is the on-sale time different than usual?
nope, just read it wrong

Wasn't that bad total, didn't take too long to arrive even though it was backordered. Ordered it about 3 weeks ago.

I would give anything if they restocked that Evangelion LP that came out in 2015 :(

Dude same here! I can't believe I didn't buy that Evangelion LP when I had a chance. Since it is a limited edition release, I think it is unlikely that they will get more stock. Makes me very sad. The price sky rocketed after it went out of stock... T-T
