Idk about biggest but I'm definitely seeing more casuals and non-Tekken fans hyped about this game which I haven't seen since probably T5.
T4 was shat on when it was released. A lot of backlash.
T5 was great for console owners but there was some controversy surrounding how quick it was released and balancing. Mostly controversy with arcade owners. It had a great release though.
T6 was a weird release. They hyped it up but something about it was "off" and not many non-Tekken fans jumped on board with it. Mind you it released during SFIV's prime. I remember seeing it promoted on like WWE but then none of my friends had the game.
TTT2 didn't have much promotion at all and it dropped during a weird period. It was a fun game but it's release just sort of happened.
T7 is coming out during a period where a fighter like this is wanted, with Akuma as well and also they've done pretty well promotion-wise for the past few months. People are digging what they're seeing and honestly given the competition, the chance for a Tekken to shine is pretty high compared to before.
