I can understand the site blew up and i also understand people may have got all of the tickets while it was exploding, but by now there should have been some form of announcement of whats happening

Why do I have a feeling that the Intern Web Admin who is running the site is somewhere under a coffee table, curled into a ball and is crying his eye's out right now...

Hahahahaha, painfully true.

I've gone every year and I plan to do it every year until I totally give up on gaming. It's so incredibly exciting. The anticipation, the release, the feeling of community -- none of it matches actually going to the theater for this (outside of being at the actual show).

Listening to the crowd scream in disbelief and astonishment as the "Big 3" were announced two years ago. Hell, standing up with the crowd and exclaiming myself!

It feels incredible. It's definitely a live sports vs. televised sports situation. Watching at home has plenty of benefits, but there's nothing like being there. (Or at least in a theater ;P)

I know the feeling, I've went to a couple of NBA games before, some where fun and others we're legitimately intense. But knowing you're with a group of people who feel the same way and is just as excited as you are compared to staying at home with Twitch Chat & in a party with your friends. It's just two different levels, originally I wasn't really sure about wanting to go this year and I was trying to get tickets so if I made that decision up in the next few days I at least would have a Wait-List ticket, but i've spent so much time waiting for this site, at this point I'm definitely going.

Geez, I've never seen a website get fucked with an elephant dick this hard.

Hell yes! I've been going every year as well. Been trying to explain to people why its so amazing to be around others at this type of event. You def nailed exactly how i feel.

THIS!

How the fuck dont they hold it in their only Theater? lol

I thought this is what they were gonna do after they bought it from Best Buy last year

I looked at the Playstation Theater when I was there last year and I'm just like "Why is it not here?" It makes no sense to me at all. It's just like it's right here only a few blocks away not even. Just go ahead, do it. It's like a no brainer.

There's nothing like watching a reveal of you favorite franchise on a huge ass screen.

Agreed

I still remember how hype the whole theater got...for Little Big Planet 3. Shit was unreal lol. And just seeing the Naughty Dog logo for Uncharted 4 had the whole room lose its mind. The "Big 3" two years ago...I didn't care for any of the games. But seeing some people literally look like they were at church and feeling the holy spirit was some of the funniest, entertaining stuff I've ever witnessed. Last year, the RE7 reveal had the whole room silent. One guy yelped at one point and the room burst into laughter. Everything about this is the environment and the people. Sure, you could stay at home and spam twitch chat, or you can create good memories with other people just as passionate as you.

So, what's everyone's actual reason of wanting to go to this? (Legitimately curious)

I am in desperate need of friends that are into video games. I have been very lucky to have 10 or so best friends but really none of them game. Also E3 has been a holiday for me for 1/2 my life, if it was waiting for videogames.com(the old Gamespot) to post previews, waiting for articles in Official Dreamcast Magazine or OXM E3 has been more of a holiday to me than Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Hey man,
I wish you all the luck making so more friends this year :)

There's a friend I went to college with that I don't get to hang out with very much anymore. He lives about an hour away and has two kids. We've gotten together to go down to Nashville for every single one of these, we make a fun night out of it. That's why I want to go, it's just a fun experience hanging out with a good friend.

Friendship goals right here

Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying $10 for 1-2 hours of advertisments. Would hopefully make signups like this nonexistent and easier.

If paying that $10 means we'd have a better way of getting tickets along with the Card/Poster/$10 & freebies or whatever else they give us, I'd be totally down.

Whelp, I have a mandatory two hour meeting now, so I'm out.

I don't want to be a dick, but I for one hope the system issues persist for another two hours. :P

Clearly you didn't try to buy a 20th Anniversary PS4 console.

I can't remember, is/was it possible to watch the E3 presser from the PS4 dashboard? It's looking like that might be my plan; park my ass on the couch in my game room and watch it from the comfort of home.

It might vary by theater but when I got in earlier I had the choice between 1 or 2 passes. Just an FYI as I didn't see it posted.

This mess rivals the Xbox FanFest registration debacle from last month. What is going on in the online ticketing services world where it's acceptable to fuck up major contracts from companies like Microsoft and Sony?

It will certainly be on the twitch and youtube apps. I am not sure if they usually have a direct stream on PS4.

If paying $5-10 meant easier sign ups and better swag -- fuck yeah, I'd be all for it!

If paying $5-10 meant all the tickets that would be guaraunteed entry + wait list entry just go into one big pile for people willing to pay, plus better stuff than a card/poster along with the obvious $10 + free PSN stuff, I'd down. I mean, I'd even take a hat or something over a card/poster.
