[RUMOR] Marvel vs Capcom Infinite roster leaked

Capcom's side is too safe due to the smaller roster size, Marvel's is too boring and limited and stinks of agenda driven choices instead of interesting ones. All this on top of losing a shit ton of popular characters from past games because of Marvel's bullshit war with Fox. As much as im dissapointed with Capcom, it doesn't even come close to how dissapointed in Marvel's complete inability to think beyond pushing more MCU in our faces. This should have been an opportunity to introduce the world to other characters from the Marvel Universe in the same way nintendo introduced us to other lesser known properties and characters. Sure did wonders for making the world as a whole care about Fire Emblem.

Edit: And all the women apparently dissappeared too.

Why does everyone keep saying 4 girls. Theres 5 since Monster Hunter would have a boy and girl option just like in the MH games and that should also have a black option like in the MH games unless Capcom is completely dumb...which is well quite possible. Still a horrible ratio.

Anywayz: Wasn't going to buy this due to moving away from tv games, but its sad to see it turn out so bad and I feel for everyone who misses their favorite cut characters, looking at the comparison from MVC3 is insane when it can't even match the base roster. Capcom has quickly become one of the worst companies for fighting games between this and SFV which is just puzzling how it turned out.

Hope yall get some good DLC characters atleast but having to rely on DLC is bad. :/
 
The Marvel side is midly disappointing but the Capcom side is complete trash :/. Arthur AND Firebrand? Nemesis, Spencer AND fucking Frank West? lol Okay. Also, the Monster Hunter is totally gonna be a Rathalos armor wearing one, just like in any other non MH game. GG Capcom...

Sf5 is and has always been great though...
Outside of some initial network problems and a couple missing modes, the core gameplay is perfect
 
Seriously, fans of Marvel's properties deserve better than this shit. Give me an all Marvel fighter so we at least don't have to be served fucking crumbs to make room for shit like Firebrand and Arthur.

You could just as easily reverse this and say Capcom fans deserve better. Characters like Amaterasu, Phoenix Wright and Wesker getting cut in favour of Gamora, Captain Marvel and Ant Man really hurts. Both Marvel and Capcom fans deserve better.

I'm sad to see such a plain roster. With how much of the groundwork they seem to be taking from MvC3 it's really sad to see such a small amount of characters making it in.
 
What baffles me is that.
Humans are more or less 50% chance of being a man or a woman

And here where theres 26 characters

Only 15% are women

Like wat. Extremely poor for a fighting game.

To be fair, the universes these characters come from have skewed demographics too.

A majority of the famous/popular Marvel characters are males...same for Capcom.

Like you think Marvel is going to put in characters like Black Widow over Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America? Hell they put in Gamorrah and even that's getting flak for getting in over Starlord.

In previous games tho they never had issues putting in female characters in both sides. And despite being skewed, if you want more females, you can definitely find some Marvel ones.

Its just...a poor showing with no excuses.

In previous games they still had poor female representation. Marvel 1 had 2 female characters out of a roster of 15. UMVC3 launched 12 new characters, none of them were females.

You can find female characters but you have to bypass 10 important, popular male characters to get to the spot. The main issue is that a lot of the famous female Marvel characters were in the X Men... Jean Grey, Storm, Psylocke, Emma Frost, X23, Jubilee, Rogue etc. You remove the X Men, you remove potential popular female characters from the list.

People have given NRS shit for only having what looks like 3 women as DLC and a base roster of 7 women. This game is making Injustice 2 look like an embarrassment of riches when it comes to gender representation.

It doesnt help that Capcoms working with 2 huge rosters, both theirs and Marvels. NRS is only working with DCs but they seemed to have gotten most of the popular female characters for launch I2.

Its like...thats the first damn thing I noticed.

Tbf im more salty over Joe and Wright as they are some of my favorite Capcom characters, but no Black Panther IN THE BASE ROSTER is DUMB.

Only Marvel character with a headlining a movie in "Phase 3" that isnt on here. Pffftttttt.

Fuck out of hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Capcom if true.

The Marvel roster is abysmal and just an advertisement for the MCU, but I'm alright with the Capcom side. The only thing that's suffering from is a short roster, but on the plus side, at least it doesn't have 12 Street Fighter characters to pad the roster out like MvC2 had.

The only odd Capcom choices are Nemesis over Wesker, and two GnG characters (although I can't complain about that personally because Arthur was on my main team, and I liked Firebrand, although mainly for that unblockable with Ammy.)

Yup, it's inexcusable, They can't even claim to have given priority to popular characters when they picked obscure ones like Jedah and Firebrand over iconic ones like Jill and Cammy.
 
Sounds like I'll be waiting for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. I can forgive the Capcom side a bit but it's still pretty lame, but that Marvel side is fucking atrocious and the fact they still can't fucking get over themselves about adding women to the roster is pathetic. Only four female characters? Really?

There's not going to be a response because there is no need for a response.

They are going to respond (on Marvel side) with "we put in the characters with the biggest brand recognition and are the most popular" and they wouldn't be wrong.

Who is more popular... Spider Man, Iron Man, Antman, Dr Strange, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, characters who lead billion dollar movie franchises... or Ms Marvel and She Hulk?

I won't play this game for long (Mahvel gameplay is really not my jam) but I'm looking forward to playing as Ant-Man. Also glad to see Arthur back!

That would involve them significantly rehauling the hud, graphics and animations. Not to mention the ugly models for chicken li and thousand yard stare Chris. I'd rather they just start from scratch and rehaul it instead of this
 
Well that's one less fighting game I need to buy.

Call me when they reveal Ms. Marvel or any Capcom character I care about as DLC.

Black Widow slams your argument into the ground. There isn't a universe where Hawk Eye should have a higher priority than her.

How the fuck does Black Panther not make it in, when he has a solo movie coming up?

Looks like they listened to fans giving them shit on how they treat and portray females in their fighting games. They just decided to leave them out.

Black Panther is rumored to be in the initial batch of DLC.

Black Widow is still like... 20 characters behind when it comes to Marvel property at the best. Hawkeye and Black Widow are on the same tier though I will admit but Hawkeye even has his own comic book line/series. Marvel threw a bone by at least putting in Gamorrah over Starlord and Drax.

Why does Marvel pay Scarlet Johansson so much damn money when they hate the idea of marketing Black Widow? They're giving Renner's Hawkeye a bigger push.
 
No akuma, no xmen and some characters in the roster that i really don't like. At least there is venom and jedah might be interesting.

She's the most popular female in the MCU, that's what this roster is based on.

There's a sex (and race) problem with these choices, same garbage we went through for UMVC3. This isn't coincidence, this isn't some big chance that the same issues with the roster are coming up over and over.
