I must have seen you talking about the pre-order for this Tekken Hori stick about 30 times.

I don't know, I haven't seen or played it, just that going by some in this thread it's complete shit. That's what I meant by people having different ideas and expectations of Tekken.

I think people have a problem with how the side characters are handled, the main story has been well-received and looks like a great time from what I've seen of it.
Keep in mind some people are just watching the cutscenes on Youtube. They're missing out on the fights which have unique modifiers only found in story mode (Claudio has a projectile attack for example).

Go for it, it's a solid big stick that is good for pretty much all fighting games as it has 8 buttons in a Vewlix style. But do keep in mind that it has Hori's own ball-top Hayabusa joystick and buttons, if you are used to using Sanwa or Seimitsu.
I prefer a smaller base myself with 6 buttons, so mine is built from a 1996 Namco stick.
That stick is godly when modded and near perfect out of the box. I still have an old namco case lying around waiting for the perfect mod.
Care to shear the parts used?

I picked up a TE2 when SFV came out for a decent price of Amazon. Haven't really looked at them since Madcatz went under. Don't know wether that would reduce or raise the price tbh.

yeah, it's been my favourite for a long time going through upgrades over the years.
Circuitry is a Paewang Dualmod PCB, enabling it to have PC/PS3/360 support. And later i added a Hori Fightcommander pad PCB so it has PS4 support too. I drilled a Home button and a PCB switcher toggle holes to the back.
Base parts are:
Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick
Sanwa OBSN-30 Buttons
Then i added the PhreakMods Link Quick Release JLF Shaft to the Joystick for added portability.
The plexiglass is from Tek Innovations with a custom Yakuza game art.
Topping it off with an EVO Cammy button and the signatures from Ed Boon and Katsuhiro Harada for luck ;D

We never got those Jun/Asuka games in.
We need to play T7!
The one person in this thread that actually played the story mode said it was awesome, while the others that simply just watched the cutscenes only said it wasn't.

South East Asia. Where we get the best from both worlds: Japanese accessories availability and cheaper versions of games. T7 Standard is USD37 equivalent in price here.
Here are three screenshots from PS4 Pro. I was initially worried about image quality but it was mostly because I picked the ugliest, muddiest stage first. There's some chromatic aberration and film grain overuse that doesn't do the image any favors too.
PC version at 4k on a 1080ti looks way, way better too. It's glorious.
These are downscaled to 1080p, but here's the 4k screenshots. The game isn't native that's just how PS4 captures them, so don't expect it to look much better:

TTT2 netcode was a huge improvement over 6, and T7 sounds like its using a modified version of the TTT2 netcode so it should be good.

hopefully CA is easy to disable on PC. This is one of the more egregiously bad uses of it (and I hate all uses)

That's an insane dose of film grain on the last two pictures. Does it vary per stage? Cuz the first pic looks relatively clean.
Yeah does seem to vary. I only have access to three stages, game is still installing. T7 vanilla looked much cleaner, had less effects and was native 1080p (but of course was visually lacking in many other ways). I don't like how the last image looks at all, but the first two I think are pretty great.
So, with some practice over the past couple of evenings on TTT2, it definitely looks like either Alisa or Lili are going to be my go-to characters from the existing roster. The Hori Fighting Commander pad I picked up for Street Fighter V is proving to be a wise investment too, pulling off moves a lot easier than I did on the DS3.

Last time I was doing 10-hitters it was with King in Tekken 3, fell out with them since they're relatively easy to block.Just this and two other Trophies and that's it.

I mean, I wouldn't really suggest dropping a 10-string on someone unless you're way out of their league, they're all super punishable.

Got the Trophy anyway with Law's combo. Super easy. Two more to go!
That's because people will just parry or block and you'll be punished
But if you see someone who doesn't know how to deal with one make sure to spam

The last two examples look imo terrible. I hope the way overdone film grain is a bug or something like that.
