I'm not going to lie another Banjo or another game would be a very welcome sight from Rare, really looking forward to Sea Of Thieves as well.

In my humble opinion I believe Rare are trying to get back on track as a multi project studio with consistent releases. A new game (Banjo or not) is definitely a possibility this E3.

Didn't robin beanland tease banjo a year or two ago and it turned out to be nothing? I remember him posting an actual banjo and an actual kazooje on twitter and saying something like "time to get to work". I don't trust them and after 2014 I don't trust Microsoft either even if the project gets announced because they can cancel or butcher it at any time.

Yep, especially since they've already built the PC version. I have no doubt Scorpio is getting a KI patch..question is when and will it be anything other than a res bump..

The things that would get me excited the most from Microsoft at this point would be things relating to the PC, like bringing over previously console exclusive games to be Play Anywhere (like Rare Replay, Master Chief Collection/Halo 5, and Sunset Overdrive).
Or 360 BC being made Play Anywhere on PC. It's always sucked having Fable 1+3 on PC, but not Fable 2 (my favorite one).
But I doubt they'll ever do anything like that. 360 BC on PC especially seems like it would be a lot of work, if only from a licensing perspective.

Doesn't Rare employ some former people from Sumo Digital and a bunch of former devs from Codemasters? I know that Craig Duncan (their studio head) worked at Sumo Digital before joining Rare. I think Rare can handle a kart racer just fine themselves.

I remember the artwork of the game that could have been Kameo 2. They went for a more realistic main character I believe it was. The art looked great. Of course artwork is only that and doesn't automatically mean a great game but still.
Hopefully after Sea of Thieves Rare makes a great SP game again.

I'd very happy with that. But they need to make a game every bit as good as Sonic All Stars Racing.
I think either Splinter Cell or Lost Planet would be solid choices given their history with the Xbox platform personally.
Splinter Cell would be consistent with what Shinobi was teasing. Plus, he's a huge Splinter Cell fan.

Not falling for this again. Man I remember before Sea of Thieves was officially announced that he had been posting tweets about Banjo, music notes and just general Banjo things that really made it look like he was teasing a new Banjo game. But that wasn't the case
He recently said that if he were to make a new one he would go for smaller levels and clever level design. Looked to me like he wasn't too happy about YL's big levels.
Still though, he's talking about a reveal of some sort.... Hmmm. But at the same time it could indeed be about a reveal during E3 that concerns Sea of Thieves. I mean the guy is hard at work on that game, can he possibly be making a Banjo too?

Just that MS had the marketing deal for an upcoming announced 3rd Party game that wasn't Assassin's Creed. He seemed pretty excited about it and in his Ubisoft blog he mentioned how Splinter Cell could be at E3 since it's been in development for a while now.

What MS needs to do is let their big 1st party studios have side projects. There is no reason why a studio the size of 343i couldn't work on another project. It's so frustrating to have massive studios under their belt and know that they are just grinding away at the next entry into the series and nothing more.

- Gregg is too busy with that game to have his hands full directing another one.
- As a hint, it's too on the nose to be a new Banjo and I bet Gregg doesn't even realize the dreams he's about to destroy next Sunday.
- A new Banjo makes no financial sense for MS considering the kinds of profits they usually seek and would have little impact as an E3 bomba to justify its announcement. It's just not as revered as something like Shenmue, which is crazy to me, but it's the unfortunate truth. Also, Yooka-Laylee and Playtonic didn't do any favors to Banjo's legacy.
- Phil Spencer is an evil person who has only one objective in his life: pissing me off.
I think this is more than enough evidence to prove it's not gonna happen. Don't say I didn't warn you when you feel all devastated after the show.

It won't happen because they think Scorpio + Forza/Crackdown/Sea of Thieves and maybe a halo 6 teaser are MORE than enough to excite audiences.
Minecraft is one of the biggest games in the world and season 1 of story mode sold well. Expect the Minecraft portion of the conference to talk about Windows 10 edition coming to Xbox, story mode 2, realms and maybe VR
