What should have have happened is Goku resurrects Broly and they somehow manage to control him for a short period of time

Broly and Kale then find each other in the ToP and find true love resulting in both of them calming the fuck down and being able to control their LSSJ form, thus becoming the 2 strongest sayians to ever walk the.. universe (s)

I cried a little typing that

The best thing about this episode was Goku and Freeza's banter.

For once Goku didn't feel like a flanderized idiot and was serious for more than two seconds.

Broly doesn't exist.

Two events unfolded in this episode that I'm not particularly fond of (Broly and Frieza), but I think they were handled well. Curious to see what happens next, but the tournament needs to start soon.

Eww, fanfiction

We'll find out in 3 or 4 days whether the tournament starts soon at least.

As it is now, Hit, Kale, Caulifla, and Frost are all in position to outshine him. Hit is the perfect candidate to job early on to Jiren though.
Yeah I really have a gut feeling that but will exist go job to jiren and that's probably why they had that mini arc of goku and hit tiring.

They've yet to "Namek time" anything in this arc and there is only and hour and a half until the start of the tournament, so they can't do many more episodes until the start.
Knowing what we know now I think they'll go to the tournament grounds in 96 and the tournament will start on 97. 97 will also be at the start of the Summer anime season as well as Super's 2 year anniversary, so it makes sense from that angle to hold off till then I guess. We'll also be getting a new ending then as well.
Either way we'll know in a few days when we get episode listings for 94-97.

So it took a mere what, 12 or so minutes of screen time from Caulifla going SSJ for the first time, and then she attains SSJ2 shortly thereafter. I think that's a massive record time wise for transformation gains in Dragon Ball History.

The art ranged from pretty nice to dreadful. And what a poor introduction for Kale... The whole thing was a copy paste from the first Broly movie but with terrible animation.

Well, at least next week's episode has the potential to be interesting...

Art was a little inconsistent, but nothing too terrible.
The animation was certainly not terrible.
Would Hit's technique work on 17?

Why wouldn't it?

What happened to Shin looking for dudes. Did he even comment on his results? Or did the script writers forget.
Dudes bad at his job
What else is new
(If anything Beerus' comment last week about the Frieza force is the same deal. No lathe evil to challenge the rest, everyone is weak)

You're honestly satisfied with the art and animation featured in yesterday's episode?

The issue with this show is that we're getting used to having something very average. It didn't satisfy me 25 years ago, and it still doesn't, especially when you consider all the other excellent looking series.

Hit Vs 17 would be amazing. Give me three episodes of an all out fight with these two.

Neither talk very much but they both give off this cocky attitude to me. I remember during the U6 vs U7 tournament Hit refused to look at the fighting going on and how he treated Vegeta. I've always thought 17 was feeling himself. Would be nice to see who loses their calm overconfident attitude first.

Watching this episode of Kai, Shin had no clue anger makes a saiyan stronger, Shin is useless, worthless, and I don't care what the other Kai's have done in other universes, Shin is the most useless Kai in any of the 12 universes, in any timeline, even Future Trunks timeline Shin was more competent than our Shin.

Shin is Goten tier.

For an episode nearing the tournament, where I assume they want most of their focus to be on art/ animation, I didn't think this was too bad.

These Super Saiyan transformations make zero sense. If it was just getting slightly ticked off or jealous then every Saiyan in that universe should be Super already

How are they planning to get Kale to go LSSJ in the tournament?

I assume what'll happen is Caulifla will worry about Kale, get distracted, attacked/ hurt, and that'll make her go LSSJ.

Caulifla bypassed the anger stage
Kale didn't go regular SSJ so everything about SSJ is thrown out the window with her, and we saw the new back information doesn't apply to her.

Who said she was? The point is that the barrier for transformation is so little, this shouldn't be a mystery to their race

Except it's not. Kale and Caulifla are unique, Kale has a unique transformation with a unique trigger and the ENTIRE point of the back tingling scene last week was that Caulifla is a prodigy, NOT that Super Saiyan is easy. That scene spells it out very plainly that focusing your energy in your back is how people who are already Super Saiyans trigger the transformation.

Yeah, that's what I've seen around the internet so far as well. The only problem I've been seeing people have is with how Cali got SSJ2 so quickly and casually.

Well she already got SSJ without needing anger, so it stands to reason she could Get SSJ2 pretty quickly if she already had the potential for it. Though it stands to reason that she went beyond that form in mere hours is a head scratcher as Cabba himself is no slouch in the potential department and he hasn't mastered anything but the base form. She could probably get SSB in a few days if Vados gave her similar training that Whis gave.

I don't think anything clearly points out that this is unique regardless of if Caulifa is a prodigy. We've seen three Saiyan from that universe and all three have managed transformations in a matter of minutes

If their race is inherently better at the transformation than U7's Saiyans then that is fine, but it makes no sense that Vegeta was the one revealing it to them for the first time. If it was so easy to transform then they should be full of Super Saiyans as I said
