Sony E3 Conference confirmed for usual time (Monday 6pm PT)

Should be DMC. Character action fans need to eat. Yall can have your 98th Monster Hunter game later

truer words have never been spoken... and I personally think the unannounced game from Capcom this E3 is gonna be DMC5.
It can also be a new IP but in regards to MH I think not due to this:
As much as I want MH, it would be a pretty bad idea to reveal a super good looking MH next to MHXX Switch, which will most likely get a NA/EU announcement in Nintendo E3.

Or like in reality......
NONE :P

My charts are are ready. ;)

Well done man.

A week to go and no leaks, I'm loosing my shit 😱
I don't know if this is a good or bad sign!

I honestly don't want leaks, I like me some surprise announcements. (Although, I am not strong enough to stay away if something were to leak)

I am with The God. Amen.

Edit: although we did get diet-character action games in Nioh and Nier.

Yeah that's exactly what they are ... diet action games with a lot of focus on the RPG elements.

We want a balls to the wall stylish action game. No god damn STAMINA BARS, no limited jump/mobility options, no excessive stat management on gear/weapons.

Around this time is when I feel like I should stop entering these threads and go on a media blackout. But I already know I wont make it

Nice work! You're missing a few titles: Hohokum in 2013, the PS4 versions of Last of Us and Unfinished Swan in 2014, and Headmaster and Ratchet & Clank in 2015.

Noted on some of those, but...

I excluded Headmaster because it's not a first-party PSVR game. It is exclusive, but the nature of exclusivity for many games are often blurry at times, since exclusivity related to indie games are hard to track. Same with VR games.

So my list specifically only includes 3rd-party games that are actively promoted as platform 'gets' by the console makers. Games that are pushed on-stage as big 3rd-party timed/console/etc exclusives. It's a semantics perspective, but I do want to keep my list manageable.

Also, R&C was announced in 2014.

Damn, for some reason I thought this was tomorrow. I thought both this and WWDC were the same day.

I've got my fingers crossed for some kind of Horizon DLC/expansion.

I don't think that's true. When it was announced, Neil actually said we'd be hearing more about it in the coming months

https://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/12/03/the-last-of-us-part-ii/

We really haven't heard anything about it since then. So, E3 would obviously be a perfect place for it.

That was one of the greatest trailers of all time and I only think Sony showed it this early as a surprise. I would much rather have the game just disappear until they have a date.

Hopefully Sony starts their pre-E3 announcements tomorrow. I need... something. Anything.

Well there's that gold PS4 slim for $250 that is street dated plus the European R&C/Crash slim bundle. They can always announce the new price/sku this week. That might be it. Maybe a No Ni Kuni 2 release date if it's not going to be on stage or delayed?

I forget when Sony starts their pre-E3 stuff. Isn't it a week before or did they start earlier last year?

If I'm remembering right, last year they did a fairly decent number of announcements pre-E3 week on the Playstation Blog.

Checking the Blog, Final Fantasy XII was announced, World of Final Fantasy got a trailer, Destiny's Rise of Iron expansion was announced, Persona 5 got its Valentine's Day date, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 trailer, and Injustice 2 got announced. And if I'm not mistaken, at some point Gran Turismo Sport had been given its previous November date.

So hopefully we get a few comparable things!

Damnnnn, last year was killer. Hopefully this year is comparable.

Why are people so sure Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be at the show at all?
I'm pretty sure it won't be there.

If Sony shows a Square game it would be FF7R, the others aren't that important to be in a Sony conference that is going to be already too packed.

Counting long list announced and still to be released games from Sony + long list big 3rd party games with Sony marketing deal coming these year + 2 to 4 big reveals: next games from Sucker Punch, From Software and Capcom (DMC, RE2R) they have games for two conferences. And this counting we wouldn't get an indie or VR sizzle in the middle.

I think the western focused MH5 in PS4 doesn't exist, but if real then it's Sony E3 material too.

Am I the only one finding it weird that Neil Druckmann hasn't tweeted anything since more than a month? He's usually quite active on Twitter, maybe he's working super hard to get this E3 demo done.

I am hoping for a soft announcement for another Ratchet game this week.

I would take a Ratchet Future Tetralogy on PS4 instead.

did they confirm that we'll be getting a live orchestra again? that was the best thing about Sony's conference last year. really added significantly to the presentation and quality of it all.

I pray it will be DMC 5. It's about time that game shows up.

Even if it's not DMC5, Itsuno has said his new game will be revealed this year, hasn't he? Considering we're now 5 years since Dragon's Dogma (or 4 since Dark Arisen) it must be pretty far along, so I'm excited to see whatever he's working on. My dream scenario would be a Dragon's Dogma sequel, but I really doubt that'll happen.

My charts are are ready. ;)

Good chart dude. How you wanna go about combining our efforts regarding YouTube views? I think it's Beth & MS this Sunday but I won't really be able to help out until Monday afternoon as I have a meeting that morning.

I don't know if they've commented on it, but after the extremely positive reception last year they'd be mad not to do it again. They should open the show with this before announcing Bloodborne 2 as the first new title!

I'm seeing if benny_a can help out this year too in terms of some scripting logic to make tracking the view/likes easier, then later this week I'll probably set up a simple google docs/sheet shared file to add and edit links.

Gotta say that I'm pretty surprised at the lack of major leaks this year ( so far).

At least, this way, whatever happens I know it'll be an actual surprise (should they exist).

There's a week to go. Someone is probably going to leak the whole MS and/or Ubisoft's conference. Sony use to be bad about it in the years past but their current ninjas are too fierce. Of course Neil Druckman has absolutely, positively, nothing to do with it...

No.

''Oh, many Leaks''
"Wow, what a great show despite those leaks!

At least this is how I see it. I don't know about others.

Wouldn't a show be good whether it leaked or not? Lol

Also, shit doesn't usually turn up until we are way closer to E3. I think MS had a whole show pretty much outed just hours before it happened once.

I was more getting at your implication that nothing being leaked means there is nothing to leak.

Yep, the entire list appeared hours before the show. That was apparently because MS goofed with how they had the information stored on a site or something though.
