Sony E3 Conference confirmed for usual time (Monday 6pm PT)

I think Shinobi might leak something this week.
He´s been doing a preview on his blog for like 2 weeks and has been avoiding Sony.
He´s gone Nintendo>Microsoft>then straight to 3rd party.
I may be reading too much here, but felt strange to me.

I noticed it as well. Really saving the best for last, I guess. I don't think Shinobi is going to leak anything though. He would've done it by now if he was going to. No reason to when we are literally days away from the show now.

If he does hopefully it´s something more like Dead Don´t Ride, which was very weird, I think he had early information that changed a bit. But the way he did was not too revealing, Days Gone announcement was still unexpected.
 
Have you ever noticed that Shinobi never teased or leaked something from T2?

Has turkoop seen the 4chan rumor about agent still being alive and the dev started around 2015 and coming after rdr ;). Most likely bs but I want to believe as well!

Yeah, all the conference music being played by the orchestra was just godly. Everything sounded super crisp throughout the whole show even through a live stream.
 
Not surprising, but in the Glixel interview, Layden confirmed some games for E3

Alongside God of War Layden confirmed that we'll also see Naughty Dog's Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Insomniac's Spider-Man, Days Gone from Sony's Bend Studio, and Polyphony's Gran Turismo Sport.

God Of War will be the big focus it seems (like Horizon was last year I guess)
 
Does anyone know if they'll be allowing non-press/industry people to line up for the conference at the Shrine? I believe they did last year?

But studios get better all the time...look at Guerrilla, who would've thought they had Horizon in them? Or Naugthy Dog the Uncharted Series? Or CDPR after the first Witcher?

I'm sure there's plenty (mb not plenty, but surely at least one) studio out there able to deliver a fantastic BB2 besides From Software.

PS: Also, I haven't finished NioH yet but besides the combat it delivers in other fronts for me, like atmosphere, lore, the tension, the fun etc that sould games bring. Souls games are many things and different things to people.

PPS: And finally NioH was not a souls game. Who is to say that if they were to develop BB2 they wouldn't focus on those things you memtioned, like level interconectivity, etc? Mb they did not focus on that on purpose...who is too say? I'm confident that if they wanted they could do it.

Sadly, we couldn't get a rise out of him on what InFamous and Sly Cooper developer Sucker Punch is working on, or whether there'll be any word of Sony partnering with FromSoftware on Bloodborne 2. "You can ask," he quipped – but wouldn't say anything further.

He also highlighted Sucker Punch alongside Naughty Dog when talking about US studios.
One would think Santa Monica would be the one to get a mention, but I guess Sucker Punch is on top of his mind right now because of the upcoming reveal.

Agree to disagree. Nioh does a poor job for me in every area but combat. And even there it falters because it's not really a difficult game so much as the enemies have bullshit tracking that you have to deal with.

I thought GG had Horizon in them. They made KZ2/3. I'm not sure I understand the Naughty Dog or CDPr examples. UC1 was met with acclaim and wasn't trying to imitate anything. TW1 still had the thing CDPr is most well known for, writing. TW1s story shits all over TW3s story.

I meant ND before Uncharted.

I just think to say no studio has the ability to do a BB2 is too bold and assertion. Mb Team Ninja could do it...mb not.

Maybe someone else can. Or mb not. I just don't think anyone can afirm with 100% confidence noone can ;)

Naming is subjective, of course, but I suspect many who thought the name was strange just didn't have the vocabulary to understand that has a perfectly legitimate meaning and a set of wonderful implications. It's a great name from plenty of perspectives. Failing to understand that just demonstrates how lackluster the American education system has become (and again with the recent confusion over why Microsoft would name a social sharing service "Mixer.")

Assuming people don't like a name because they have a poor vocabulary seems a bit of a stretch for me. Why assume people you don't agree with have a lesser education?

That said, I've always loved the name Bloodborne.

My post specifically stated that naming is subjective, and pointed out that those who thought the name was strange almost certainly weren't familiar with the literal meaning. Whether they liked the name or not wasn't my point.

As for the experience awaiting PlayStation buffs when the curtain lifts on Sony's E3 media event, live streaming from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall (online as well as in select theaters) next Monday, June 12, Layden says to think of it less as a press conference than a software showcase.

"The crowd will only have to suffer I think in aggregate 90 seconds of me," he jokes. "And in the middle will be all the games."
