I still also ship Kuvira with Lin and Su.
I don't think Asami is sturdy enough to take the pounding that Kuvira doles out, but I support that ship as well.
If they mention Broly than they have to bring in Janemba to replace Freeza.

I love Fusion Reborn, the music and Goku's SSJ3 transformation was great but I could never see them actually using Janemba.

Now a being like Janemba that takes over a being of hell maybe like a nod similar to Kale but even then I never saw him nearly as popular as Broly.
 
I highly doubt anyone will explicitly refer to Broly, but I wonder if the form itself will at all be reminiscent of whatever legends Vegeta learned about as a child. ?

I agree I don't find it likely and honestly would prefer they don't and I say this as a Broly fan. Kale is such a great call back and she has way more room to grow there is no need to force a deeper connection.

That said given it's as easy as a line of dialogue I won't write it off as before this arc no one would believe Kale was a real thing either.
 
I could see a wink and a nod to the fans, such as Goku or Vegeta saying something about Kale's Berserk form and using Legendary as a descriptor, or if they want to go the comedy route have something along the lines of someone saying the form seems familiar.
I don't think the name Broly will be said though.

I'd rather they not directly retread or reference movie stuff. If I wanted to see movie stuff, I'd just see the movies. But it might be interesting if they give us more Kales; new characters that implement ideas from non-canon stuff.

Actually, I guess we've kind of got a few? Hit's the cool Piccolo-like fighter that Goku befriends at a low stakes tournament held by the gods, like Pikkon. Golden Freeza is the version of Freeza where he takes things seriously and has a form more powerful than his true form, like Cooler.

Meta Cooler and Janemba are the only ones I'd really be interested in seeing becoming Super-fied.

The basic concept behind Meta Cooler could make a really awesome arc, maybe change it to an AI that revolted against its creators and made itself a bunch of bodies.
A Kale-ification of Janemba could work as a Makaioshin or something if they ever decide to touch the Demon Realm.
 
Alright I was actually happy for
Freiza to be on the team but Yamcha getting his time to shine is even better. Have your inevitable joke moments but please let him at least do one thing useful.

What's going to be even better is
Yamcha finding out they asked Frieza before him and Yamcha will be the one to knock out Frieza in the tournament. Sweet sweet justice.
 
Referring to Broly would just be terrible writing, which I'm not saying DBS is above, but it'd be a new low. The entire point of including Kale is to make a canon Broly, not to make Broly canon.

I didn't say it would take from her, simply that it's not needed.

Broly being canon will not change him being dead and not used going forward. We Broly fans got a kick ass update and that is more then enough for me at least.

Episode 97: I could have sworn the Grand Priest already mentioned that the outside of the ring was an "abyss" that there is no escaping from (something along these lines).

Why is it worded like it's only just being revealed?

These "leaks" are nothing but 2ch rumors right now.

He gets knocked under a loose floor tile and nobody notices him. When he wakes up , everyone else is down or gone and Yamcha wins the whole tournament.

His wish? That Goku could finally be as cool as he is.

Taking cues from wrestling, just like the format of the tournament itself
 
Some people checked the main website by putting in character names in for alternate characters like the Freeza leak, but nothing yet.

I'm still not convinced this is legit.
