Eh and that's everything on Ultra with DX11 believe it or not. I find some areas where the textures looks really great, while others especially some of the outdoor terrain in the side missions are low res and blurry as fuck Mind you a low FOV doesn't help either..

Yeah.
I think in my mind I had it as a this gen game, but turns out it came out at the tail end of last gen, which certainly makes it less surprising that some of the textures don't look super hot up close.

Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster. The Dolphin emulator recently added the ability to take screenshots at whatever resolution the game was being internally rendered at instead of the monitors set resolution. Using that I took a few 24k-30k screenshots of Mario Galaxy. Obviously the file sizes were too large for any image hosting site so I uploaded them all to Mediafire but I haven't had any luck getting the images to display online so you'll probably have to download the files to view them.

Really glad that a lot of Gaffer's still have this game in their collection. Also, it's so nice to see everyone else's perspective and vision how they see the game from their point of view.

Wow these are all nice. That last one is my favorite shot so far.
We knew it was a looker but Otisnf's freecam has really done it justice it seems and makes you appreciate the tech even more. Well if there was ever a doubt which game still holds the award for best visuals I think that's been put to rest.

I hope developers are considering photo modes in their games more because I had no interest in Ryse until I saw the photo mode screenshots in this thread. Wow!
There are no seettings to mess with yet, but it's still mech porn.
The debug camera options are soooo good.
If only the landscape textures were better.
