They also said terms could have changed and its just exclusive content.

The only thing that's questionable is BL3 being a timed exclusive. Other than that its not that outlandish.

Yeah, other than that, nothing is ridiculous. Exclusive content makes a lot more sense. I just don't get paying for exclusive on something that directly competes with your own new IP.

damn, that could be it

It has to be, any game announced this E3 other than Forza won't come out this year. Xbox usually doesn't show it off at outlets unless it's releasing before next E3, so I doubt it would be anything new announced at the conference.

Totally forgot the 3 capcom projects, I'm sure one of them is MS'. Out of the three Aegis sound more interesting so I hope that's the one.

I don't believe for a moment the Ninja Gaiden story. If something like that was ever considered, they would have first greenlighted a remake/remaster before that rebbot. Also Team Ninja has a successful new IP in Nioh, so it's more likely that they will stick to it, hopefully bringing it to xbox too.

It's quite suspicious that the leak didn't even try to expand on State of Decay.

The only good thing that could come of MGS Survive would be MGS HD on BC.

Also, I don't believe Fable Online is a test for Fable 4. If anything, Fable online succeding would be the grave of the mainline Fable.

Ok, time to speculate.

Gamespot has their E3 schedule ready, but of course they dont have all the names listed because some stuff is unnanounced and also looks like they are not really naming the announced exclusives (they are putting as ''Xbox One Game'', ''PlayStation Game'', ''Nintendo Game''

They have 3 slots with ''Xbox One Game'', which my bet is they are Crackdown 3, Sea Of Thieves and State of Decay 2, since they are expected to show up, so far no surprises.

But on Tuesday, in between two slots of ''Xbox One Game'' they also have an ''Unannounced AAA Game''. And I think it would make a lot of sense to have another MS game between two other MS games...

Has FM7 been announced?

Edit: beaten

Borderlands 3 exclusivity for a year would be terrible, tomb raider all over again. They don't need to money hat for "timed" exclusives. They need to show games that now and in the future will only be on Xbox as a franchise. If this gets announced its gonna be a shit storm.

That right there is bogus . It seemed like before the xbox fiasco everyone was predicting the end of playstation and xbox dominating this gen.

That's not what I saw. The Xbox brand was getting g destroyed by core gamers in the months leading up to the Xbox One announcement. Between shifting platform funds from core games to Kinect games, Sony playing the people's champ w.r.t. PSN+ vs Xbox Live, Xbox execs seeming clueless (again, even before the reveal), and a sheer lack of attention to indie devs Xbox was not viewed well.

Hell I remember the boards after XB1 got announced: the vitriol surrounding the Xbox brand was red hot, and Xbox fans were getting banned left and right because they were all "paid shills". That kind of vitriol doesn't happen if the brand had garnered some benefit of the doubt from the kind of core gamers that a board like Gaf attracts, but, as you can see, the platform had no benefit of the doubt. The brand was on thin ice with core gamers, and the tone-deaf announcement of the XB1 just cemented peoples' opinions of it.

Who would make that game?

Such a shame that the proper Fable 4 was denied. What they pitched to MS sounded very interesting. Who knows how that may have turned out. :(
That sounded like shit too. A Fable that takes place exclusively in Bowerstone lacks environmental diversity. The Jack the Ripper Balverine was a cool idea, but you can't have the game in an urban setting only. Look at Dragon Age II, that would have been a mistake. The English(Albion) countryside is quintessential to Fable, that's half of the charm. They also wanted to make it dark and gritty, that's not Fable. The heads at Lionhead had very little clue on how to make a Fable game, which is unfortunate as they had a lot of talent below them.

fable 2(it was ok) and 3 was so bad I think microsoft needed to get new team on fable anyway. fable just never felt deep enough to me, seemed like they wanted to make 10 hour rpgs

I just watched it. Unless I am being really really dense, how could anyone take offence to what was said or shown?

Don't ever go to Off Topic Gaf.

Not saying that people in Off Topic Gaf take offense, but you'll see lots of examples of other people in the good old US of A taking offense to stuff like this because they're racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, etc.

Fable 2 was the perfect stepping point to make something great in a sequel.

Shame how Fable 3 turned out but could have been worse.

Nah. Gaf is cool with that kind of stuff.

OT GAF is usually way more open to this stuff than Gaming.

I'd agree that Fable III is mediocre to bad. Fable II is great, with a few pitfalls. They certainly weren't going for 100+ hour RPGs. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Look at Bioware and all of the bloat they put into Inquisition and Andromeda. The Fable games yielded 30+ hours with their side quests, the quests in TLC and II were decent, had whimsical writing amd most importantly didn't feel like chores(for the most part).

Part of the issue on depth was their ambition to innovate with each game, adding in new mechanics. Fable IV could have paused and just added depth to existing mechanics. I would have loved to see the simulation go beyond the towns and have bandits and monsters with proper simulations and behaviors, interacting with one another. The combat was always shallow, a proper combat puzzle would have been welcomed. Most enemies were purely killed via damage dealt, more strategy would have been welcomed. I'd love to design a Fable game, especially post Breath of the Wild, there's a lot to learn from its open-endedness.

I want PC->Xbox LAN (and maybe even WAN) streaming. Fuck streaming from the low-specced device to the high spec device, what everyone wants is the other way around.

What this needs is for Xbox to support Mouse and Keyboard input, something they've been rumored to have been working on for a while. Make it easy to play all my games on Xbox, no matter where theyre actually being computed.

The bright side of Sony snatching up seemingly every big IP for marketing partnerships is that it presents the possibly that maybe, just maybe, Microsoft wants to do a big blow out on several exclusives.

Doubtful. Highly unlikely. Inprobable. Whatever.

I don't really want any of them on stage for too long. They aren't bad speakers. What they are saying just isn't worthwhile. We all know what we are here for. Just get to it.

MS will still have several third party showings. Third party being there doesn't mean they can't have a focus on exclusives. The same applies to Sony.

Could be the new Assassin's Creed, rumored to have marketing ties with Xbox.

Knights of Ageis game is confirmed to be an actual thing so this isn't completely tales from the ass.

Frankly, I think that thread makes it more likely the 4chan list is fake. The supposed ntkrnl leak talks about Knights of Aegis as if it's an unknown name, and gives details almost exactly like the thread.

Of course, it's not completely impossible that this is a real leak by ntkrnl. But the text doesn't sound like their prior GAF presence: crisp and no-nonsense lists of real products, with very little vagueness. It instead engages in tons of overemphasized but underexplained "contract details" in an apparent attempt to increase the plausibility of the wishlist. Who, exactly, is supposed to know the ins and outs of business deals with multiple different external partners, stretching back into last generation? How believable is it that Obsidian's game has no name, and won't release until 2019 or 2020, but back in February Microsoft was planning to announce it at E3? Heck, even Ninja Gaiden Green and Borderlands 3 are said to possibly be 2019.

I don't find this credible at all.

The one thing about the /v/ rumor is that it would be weird for MS to moneyhat BL3, and then make a first party game of their own similar to it.

I want a bit of both. Sony has terrible speakers so that works for them. Phil is great.

No, Panos is a great speaker, Phil sounds fake as fuck. It's not his fault either, it's an Xbox division thing it seems. All of their execs are trained to talk like that, enunciating every single word they read on the teleprompter, which sounds artificial as fuck. It's just terrible.

Layden is not articulated but at least he tries to talk like a normal human being.

Ninja Gaiden
Fable online
Obsidian RPG/Shooter
Knights of Aegis

Need to remove Borderlands timed exclusive

and add

Banjo sequel
Perfect Dark Reboot

For a really good E3

Borderlands makes sense. MS will market it as their Destiny and i bet the game will take cues from Destiny. I don't think it's close though.

Nobody in tech is comparable to Panos, but Phil is fine. I'll admit he's at his best after the show shooting shit in a sit down interview.

Slightly unrelated, but I'm curious if MS will pick up IO Interactive and the Hitman IP. Then again, they did skip out on buying Bioware.

Yep Phil is at his best on Giantbomb's late night E3 shows by far. I like Phil as a speaker personally though, he does a good job.

I'd rather have Mike Ybarra and Chris Charla up there the whole time though, those guys are just so down to earth for being execs.

Ninja Gaiden
Fable online
Obsidian RPG/Shooter
Knights of Aegis

For a really good E3

Ninja Gaiden or Splinter Cell or Silent Hill
Banjo Kazooie
Perfect Dark

This trifecta would top Sony's 2015 for me.

Some. Not a whole lot. Which frees them up for more first party.

I think Sony's conference will be all games, but I fully suspect a significant chunk, bigger than what some of us would like, will be dedicated to third party multiplats that Sony has partnered with.

Microsoft probably won't have that "issue" because they have fewer partnerships. That's a good thing, I guess, if I'm being optimistic.

A couple of years ago Spencer mentioned that his approach to acquisitions is when there's a good relationship in place and it makes sense for both parties. Has MS worked with IO Interactive recently?

I can see it happening, and it would certainly make for an interesting adquisition. But as one post said above, them not buying Bioware shows that MS can easily ignore a golden opportunity

MS doesn't want to buy developers and then lose the major talent in the company shortly after retiring . acquiring a company and keeping its culture intact is tough. you don't want to lose the founders/ leads and end up with a empty hell. i get it . most ips aren't worth more than the talent itself. this is the reason I believe that they let bungle go unfortunately. bungie employees would have just quit and they would have had a strained relationship
