The price + Microsoft out engineering Sony on a software level by doing the enhancements themselves have me looking at my pro like a joke.

But they seemed to have learned from that, and seem to be willing to go toe to toe with Sony, using their large cash reserves to force Sony to spend more money than they can really afford.

The principle reason Scorpio has a power advantage over the PS4 Pro is because (a) Microsoft had a clear target to beat (b) the system is arriving to market 12 months after Sony. There is no magic involved. Microsoft simply went back to AMD and said we want something better than the competition.

IIRC, there were rumors that MS were going to do a mid gen console with zero specifics, then about a month later Patrick Klepek broke the "leaks" that PlayStation was doing one also that I THINK had some specs included?

This is all wrong though. MS announced their intent with Scorpio before PS4 Pro was leaked to be the weaker product. They were always releasing later than Pro because they were shooting for a stronger refresh.

They're not going to give you a reason because their first party titles are going to be Play Anywhere. They just want you to buy the game and use their service whether it's on PC or Xbox. The reason would be if you're not a PC gamer and are looking for the console to get the best out of 3rd party titles plus their 1st party lineup. How is this still a thing people don't get?

Bruh, all this with a Destiny 2 60fps/mp along with pc crossplay is all I needed this winter.....like, i was sold. backwards compatibility, crackdown 3, sea of thieves, and the scorpio updates for games like halo 5 and gears 4 is even more icing to the cake.

Troll post or not, this is what I don't understand.

I have a PS4 Pro. I think it's a great system and I'm happy with my purchase. But I never was megaton hyped for it - it was more of a "oh, that's cool" type thing.

What does Microsoft have for Xbox that would make me want to buy this, aside from Halo? Their other "exclusives" are all playable on PC. My Xbox One does nothing but collect dust because the only true exclusive it seems to have is Halo. This seems like more of the same.

I get that it's probably exciting for those who do their preferred gaming on Xbox One, but for Microsoft to poke at Sony about power when 1. they're for all intents and purposes "losing", and 2. don't have practically any first party support to back their console is just....petty.

Show. Me. Exclusives. Make me want to game on Xbox One. Not PS4, not PC. More powerful hardware does not do that.
