Im not some kind of secret insider or anything or a sony insider. I only know some vague details about Fromsoft's ARPG work because i got the opportunity to ask someone close to the company about what they're currently working on. I can't talk about most of what i was told of course to protect their job.
I did ask them questions regarding reveals and other specific details but I only got vague answers.

Im well aware that it exists, but yes its a matter of when rather than if. I just don't know if that when will even be this year, but if there's anything thats revealed this year itll be that.
 
Hopefully the Pens seal up the cup on Sunday so I won't have to worry about it while watching this. The game wouldn't be till Wednesday but damn it would be awesome to not have it on my mind at all.

Personally, I'm more excited about the prospect of an Itsuno directed game than anything else. Whatever it is, he has my wallet.

If it's DMC5, that's just perfection.

As long as it's in house dmc5, super hyped for Sony E3, really hope there's some sort of hints for bloodborne 2
 
I'd love to see DMC5. Didn't Capcom use the Remasters of DmC and DMC4 as a test to gauge on where to take the series going forward?

Then that all but confirms no From at E3.

Probably for the best - if they can't show anything despite the huge gap in time since Bloodborne and DS3, then it's best they stay quiet.

??? Dark Souls 3 came out last year and its 2nd DLC came out this year
Bloodborne came out the year before and started development in 2012
They've been nonstop working on souls games since like 2007
Cut them some slack lol, they've earned it.

I wonder if we'll see another Double Fine surprise at Sony this year. They've run out of Tim's old games to remaster, but maybe they'll dig more into the Lucas back catalogue?

Armored Core is iffy.
So in terms of From ARPG I think you're getting a reveal next year and a release the year after as per tradition.
I don't really know what to make of Armored Core as of yet.
Either way though, I wouldn't expect anything from From this year as that's what I've been told. Fromsoft is also usually pretty leaky with their games and we usually have visuals and details weeks or months in advance prior to release. Happened with Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 and since we've had none of that I don't believe they're at a stage where they're close to reveal.

I haven't​ been given anything concrete regarding release dates, i asked when we would see something revealed and they said they were uncomfortable giving out that information. But not to get hopes up to see anything in 2017. That could have just been ARPG related or Fromsoft as a whole.
Armored Core would make sense but its probably best that you temper your expectations. But Remember that Fromsoft is working on a PSVR title that would most logically be Armored Core.

Im not going to tell anyone that it will or won't because ultimately, i don't know. But the only thing ive been told regarding reveals especially regarding ARPGs is not to expect anything this year. But when the time is right it will be huge.
 
Do ppl expect there to be any upgraded pro model or will sony simply feel pressured to support the current pro model more with scorpio coming out? I really wanna get a pro and am obviously gonna wait till e3 but curious what ppl think they may do concerning the current pro. I

If anything Sony will probably drop the price for the Pro. I don't think there'll be any other update before the PS5.
 
Woohoo, just moved to a new place. Getting a faster internet connection on Sunday just in time for E3 press conferences. To paraphrase one old bearded man: "Now I am ready". Bring it on.
 
God I hope Armored Core isn't the only thing From will show(assuming they will show something to begin with).

I want to see Miyazaki's New IP so bad.
 
If they flash FROM Software on the screen and it only leads to Armored Core I can already see the pitchforks.

I'm still of the mind that the ARPG will be shown in CG form though regardless of what Queen says. This is a year they need those types of announcements, especially with Scorpio on the horizon.

People are speculating a cheaper version that removes the optical drive, but there's no basis for it really.
 
It would be out of tradition for From to announce a title 2 years in advance. Its always been one year prior. Its also not like Sony can or even will strong arm From into doing something like that. They have Days Gone, Spider Man, The Last of Us 2 and God of War. They're certainly not hurting in any way and don't need anything. Sony already has the userbase, the exclusives and the third party deals. Its Microsoft that needs to sell the Scorpio and show games. Power isn't going to change the game on its own, especially when you're so far behind.

There's also a lot that can and does change in development even a year off and it would be unwise for them to show anything so early if they're not ready. Hell key mechanics and seemingly storytelling bits were changed in Dark Souls III only a year prior to release so I don't think they have anything worth showing locked in right now

I'm sure they do this in a regular basis. Having said that the fact that they uploaded the pic could mean anything...it would make an excel·lent summer title imo

Do we have the scorpio release date? I wonder if pro get a price drop will the original model do so as well? Will be interesting to see what happens if the PS4 is priced at the same level as the switch. Hell in my country the switch is even more expensive than a regular ps4
