Connor liked my tweet about Detroit being out this year.

I watched a behind closed doors presentation of Detroit last year (they played twice that Connor scene from the trailer, with different approachs and endings) and that REALLY raised my excitment for this game

Would love to have it like in September this year

Yeah, they'll have a good idea how well it's going to sell already by its pre-order numbers. It seems to be doing well on many of the Amazon stores

Amazon US: 18
UK: 2
France: 12
Germany: 5
Spain: 11
Canada: 4
Italy: 4
Mexico: 2

And typically games don't make it to the top of the sellers until a week or so before they launch. The fact that it's already so high and it doesn't release until the end of the month is a very good sign.

Should be higher

We are so close! I really hope for the surprise Socom or Warhawk announcement that a lot have asked for. I feel bad for the SOCOM community, they are in a lather in excitement on twitter hoping for an announcement. Sony should just turn on the old severs to give them something to play at this point.

I'm also very interested to see if Sony gives us another classic adventure game remaster. They're really been great to this point, id love to see more. Perhaps Monkey Island?

As for the Days Gone discussion, I'm very excited to see more. I don't think a lot of the TLOU clone comments are accurate, seems like a group speak narrative that has just taken hold since that first trailer tho. But for me, the zombie setting is just about the only thing that's similar. Open world vs linear narrative experience really is a huge difference in of itself.

I mean, it's been in development for a while now. 3 or 4 years?

Sorry, I meant more so with regards to this year than being a 2018 title, which is sort of what I was expecting. I'd love for it to come out in 2017, but in my head, I'm just trying to find a good month in which it could launch.

Detroits trailer last year was a standout for me. I don't particularly care for Cage games but I'm super hyped for Detroit.

Same month as Blader Runner 2049 ;)

That's why I mentioned Cory's quote. It's not just about hack and slash anymore, but rather an invested story about Kratos. Cory wants to show more of Kratos's side, and it cant be done without walking and talking. Let's be honest, the narrative in previous games werent that good.

I don't see why they had to sacrifice gameplay for narrative though. I'm sure there are better ways to make Kratos a better character

That is if you consider that gameplay is being sacrificed, so far I can't make comment on how little I've seen. Combat looks to be entertaining so far just not as fast paced a before but that's not a bad thing. We need to see more.

It's kind of crazy to think that a AAA Spiderman is exclusive to a console.

You go hard with the marketing, you can reach a REALLY far audience. Like, I'm talking casuals and shit. Spiderman, if its GOOD, will do bonkers for PS4.

Easy Allies got me thinking, what if in an attempt to de-bunk the Soony narrative, games like Days Gone, Spider-Man, FFVIIR, Crash, Detroit all get demos. Sony goes with a "play it today" hype attack. We already know that Battlefront, COD WWII and Destiny are going to get alphas.

I'd say the best case scenario is that the special Crash announcement is that a demo will go live after the conference. But that's about it. No way any of those other games receive demos. At least not right now. If there's ever a demo for VIIR, i'd imagine Square would bundle it with another game rather than just making it a free for download demo.

Don't hype yourself up too much by going in hoping for this.

If you're lucky you will get a Crash demo and that's it.

Right, Sony need to push for this game like crazy. They announced early to build hype and get a few early buyers. They need to promote to the point of annoyance when it is nearing release.

Makes me think what WB could do with all their DC properties. Lot of money at stake.
