See what I mean? I don't know much about the game, and it's not like I haven't been avoiding news about SoT (I'm still trying to get into the technical alpha!)

I can see either happening, here's to Microsoft in hopes that they advertise the game properly. I'd rather not see another of their GaaS initiatives fail.

Solo play will be included with smaller ships, but no offline play. No singleplayer campaign. And I don't know why you would even bother to play this game as a lone wolf in multiplayer. You'll just get wrecked by other crews and sea creatures.

Not true.

Or at least, my experience playing solo hasn't been as bad as people are quick to make it seem. Its a community driven game, your experience as a solo player will be defined by what parts of the community you happen to run into.
 
SOT needs ro be in game preview immediately these "technical test" and weeklt videos is just milking excitement. let people play it so they can spread word of mouth

The full game will have more quests, but the alpha had only treasure hunting, that's what I meant with quests, sorry XD

(You know, get the map with an X, looks for the island on the world map, navigate to it, get the chest and go sell it)
 
Question about that Mixer stuff where MS will be giving you DLC, games and so on. Do I just open the app on my Xbox and watch the E3 show and that's it? I have opened the app just now and it says I'm level 3. Never had to make an account for it, so I assume it automatically linked it to my gamertag?

Ah I see, no worries. Thanks for the clarification.

But I think this highlights how much explaining MS/Rare will have to do with SoT. Here's to hoping the game does well!

as in, setting/genre and etcetera

as far as we know its a game by Bioware's A team and that's it, right?

If you use your Xbox it automatically makes your GT am account I believe. You just need go tune in and you'll get free stuff. Make sure you're logged in if you use your PC or phone though.

As for Dylan. Watch it be a teaser that doesn't show a shred of gameplay. Or like last year how E3 showed MEA. It's better than nothing I guess. But maybe we do get some brief gameplay. :)

It's only one year later, and it's clear that Microsoft has continually tried to set higher prices this gen only to be forced to reduce them later.

Console prices don't typically drop as fast as people are now expecting. What normally happens is consoles get replaced with higher capacity hard drive versions to maintain the price. The PS4 Pro killed that strategy for MS because they couldn't have a base console priced so close to the much higher spec'd Pro. That's placed a ceiling on how high MS could price the Xbox One and forced the entire price line down. Scorpio isn't going to have that problem so does not have to follow the S in its price fall.

Another thing to note is Scoprio is not going to release at a sale price. The $199 predictions for the S if true will be a holiday sale price. People are incorrectly trying to base the entire Xbox One MSRP line around that temporary price. Scorpio will release high and then drop price as needed. It's not going to release at a Black Friday price point.

Most people who watch E3 are hooked on whatever outlet they choose for E3 coverage, they won't go to fucking Mixer after the show. Sea of Thieves is the game that most needs a full fledged, detailed demo on stage.

The footage is going to be played back everywhere (gaming sites, forums, youtube, twitch, you name it) over the next few weeks. Nothing wrong with having a mixer exclusive.
 
They are doing Mixer because its owned by MS offcourse and they are gonna use that co stream feature. Wich is perfect for this game.

Are you trolling or what? Itagaki is a genius, Hayashi is the quintessence of mediocrity. Devil's Third is WAY better than Ninja Gaiden 3. And as for me, it's, well, COOLER than Nioh.
 
Madden will be native 4K on Scorpio (probably PS4 Pro as well), but I'm interested to see if they talk about better textures and emphasize the "best place to play"
