Do you think they'll end the show with the price or do we get all of that right from the start? I am hoping they actually do some kind of "one more thing" game. Whatever it could be.
I was planning on using the Xbox app. Kind of disappointed with the service so far.

Yep, it's all about perception. I've seen enough E3 presentations to know that perception is all that matters in the end, not the reality of the situation.
My gut tells me if the price is higher than $399 (which does seem quite likely given what's in there and people with experience in these matter's estimations) they won't say it at the conference, but it will probably be part of material released immediately after the show. Then again, they may also temper a higher price announcement by talking at length about the Xbox One S being $199, and how much of a premium experience Scorpio is (i.e. it's expensive but you're getting what you're paying for), a $449 wouldn't be too hard to swing this way; $499 or higher will definitely need some serious upselling especially given how crushing that price would be internationally.

I agree with almost everything you're saying, but if you don't think they also want to lead the market again, you're crazy. And if they're dream is to be like Valve as you say then they NEED to be #1. It's the only way they'll get the user numbers to even come close to being like Steam.

One way to look at is that the graphical power between PS4P/Scorpio is one whole base PS4.
I'm guessing it will be 449 with price dropping soon after, seems about right for what you could get/save coming out one year later.
Both PS4P and Scorpio are on 16nm FinFet so no real savings there, AMD might have knocked a few bucks off but that's about it.
There's also more RAM present, 4GB GDDR5 it doesn't come easy, on top of that you got vapor chamber cooling which isn't cheap.

My guess is that the last run ran longer than 97 minutes like they previously thought. Rather than just rush everything, they'll push everything they can out in a timely manner.
But I'm still curious about what can take that long.

Won't matter how long it is if they spend most of the time talking. Needs to be a quick 10 minute max introduction and then pull a Sony 2015-2016.

I guess it's a good thing everyone's buying into the higher price-point and "MS will be happy just to be in the race" mentality, that way MS will get just the reaction they're hoping for tomorrow, surprise and jubilation. You just wait and see people, MS gonna come with the thunda tomorrow, no more half-measures. They wanna be the talk of E3 this year.

I just did it and it works.
I'm talking about the Xbox One version though, I dunno about PC. I press X on my controller and it goes fullscreen. :/I'm on XB1 as well. Dang. I'll try different channels.I just did it and it works.

Make sure you've highlighted the chat window beforehand, otherwise you'll still be left with the control bar at the bottom.

Oh they want to lead, they just don't want to dump money into. They don't need to be #1 in consoles to be a success, they just need to be a player in the market. If they get more people buying games and using live from Windows Store then they will have a much better marketshare than Sony and will be able to compete with Valve on Windows. More adoption of the windows store means more adoption of their UWP strategy which ties into any new market they want to enter, be it mobile (lol) or AR. And of course, all of this is backed by their true future money maker, Azure.
to be honest, they should have combined windows and xbox 17 years ago.

Ok I was a bit wrong.
First you need to select the "fullscreen" icon button at the botton of the screen and press A then it goes to a "kinda fullscreen" mode with still the chat appearing, then press X and it works! 
No problem.

Does anybody know how many units that Sony sold of the PS4 Pro? I think that the market for the Scorpio is going to be really low this far into the generation. I already own an Xbox and will just wait until the next generation, which will happen in 1 - 3 years. I don't get what's the point of playing the same Xbox One games in higher resolutions. I wish there were games created specifically to take advantage of its capabilities or Microsoft started the next gen. It's too late for Microsoft to say we have the most powerful console 3 years into the generation.
Beyond resolution and framerate, I doubt 3rd party developers are going to spend the time to create enhanced Scorpio versions. This will likely only benefit 1st party stuff like Forza.
