Well, In February i asked if we would see anything this year and I was pretty much told not to hold my breath. It's possible things couldve changed since then, but i'd still but it firmly in the very unlikely camp.

But FWIW: That Aztec/Mayan rumor people keep spreading is at odds with what I've been told about the new IP. So I'd put that in the BS camp.

Actually, before i get myself into trouble, i should be more specific and say it's major inspirations would come from a different continent entirely. These games, Dark Souls especially have a tendency to incorporate influences from many cultures or influences.

And the way i was told about it was "the setting for that is probably closer to (put setting here)"

I think people that arent invested already with Xbox One will not care much about scorpio by itself. It would need to have new, exclusive games and personally for me since Microsoft is all in on GaaS the scorpio is already DOA for me.

Yeah if it's just the usual suspects for their first party games I doubt I"ll care about Scorpio. Having the most powerful console is neat and all but it's about the games for me. PlayStation's getting stuff like Spider-Man and Death Stranding and new hardware for MS doesn't change that.

Next, they'll probably pin for MS to sign up Cyberpunk as exclusive, and some are quite excited by that PC/ XB1 Square Amazon Italy listing.

Now, if beside hype you look objectively at what's been announced/ leaked (I don't consider the SotC remake a leak, it seems silly, but who knows?)

- Anthem not exclusive, even temporary
- Battlefront 2 looks amazing
- MH World leaked, most likely at the very least on PS4
- KH 3 trailer shown with a PS4 logo (temp exclusive? #shrug,)
- Fifa 18 big PS come back

I'd say at least so far it's all good on Playstation, though comparatively the hype has been reigned in by Sony marketing it seems.

I'm ready for one camp to have over-hyped themselves for a conference that won't deliver to their insane and wishful expectations and the other camp to have managed their expectations for a conference that will over-deliver.

I think the conversation will be opposite of what it is now come monday night.

Xbox has virtually no Japanese presence and as a guy who loves Japanese games and his western 3rd party games.... PS4 offers both. Best of both worlds.
