Sony E3 Conference confirmed for usual time (Monday 6pm PT)

This post speaks to me, especially that last part.

As an aside, I am so fucking sick of Shenmue III being used as a tool/weapon by console warriors (positively or negatively), when probably 90% of the people who do so have zero genuine care about the game.
 
Hmmm, PS Asia. Maybe they show brand new footage of that indie character action game they picked up due to how hype it looked? Lost Soul Aside

Though to be fair, a lot of crossover with Japanese games fans so it doesn't have to be that specific and just usual hype from the different regions.
The EU account always hypes up E3, etc.

Hear hear!! I put four figures into the KS and as a huge Shenmue fan that period of approximately a month and the E3 announcement was just magical and something I'll never forget all the days that I live.

I have absolute trust in Yu Suzuki and when he says he needs to delay you know he's doing it for the right reasons. The man's resume is unquestionable.

4 years of E3 no, but of releases?

So with Japanese devs, the most likely folks are:

- Capcom
- Square
- Platinum
- Level 5
- From

Of them, some of their potential releases...

- Capcom: Monster Hunter World, Super Street Fighter V, Dragon's Dogma 2, Devil May Cry 5
- Square: KH3, Dissidia, Dragon Quest XI, FFXVI (lol)
- Platinum: ...Sailor Moon?
- Level 5: Ni no Kuni 2
- FSoft: Armored Core, new IP

Which would you prefer to see, did I miss anything, and what's the likelihood of their appearances?
 
Sony can't come and destroy E3 every year.

1 or 2 announces + gameplay of Spiderman + Days Gone + GOW + Detroit + maybe TLOU + some indies will be enough

Eh, don't lose hope. Tweeting something or not doesn't really mean anything. Yoshinori Ono sent out multiple tweets about being in attendance at Microsoft's show earlier including things like, "I wonder what they will show..." and nothing related to him or Capcom materialized.

Have faith!
 
MS had some neat reveals but the highlight was playing Og Xbox games. Wish Sony finally comes out and provides full support for PS1/PS2 titles.

I don't want to jim ryan this, but with so many amazing games recently or coming out so soon, do people really have that much time to replay and replay those old games?
I'm really glad that Sony is always looking forward, pushing new IP and games.

I think a recent (Sony?) exec quote summed this pretty well. People want BC, but then rarely use it. Companies have limited resources and have to prioritize. And it's more profitable doing remasters of all time greats and selling them for 40 euros :P
 
Looking forward to Ni No Kuni 2's new trailer along with the release date! The FF7R trailer should be good too. Need to see that gameplay.

What if they open with Spider-Man and it looks completely different, and the gameplay ends with with Sucker Punch logo. And the ending stage will be the other Spider-Man by Insomniac.

Hopefully these 2 are 2017, along with GT Sport.

God of War, if it's March has to get a date.
Spiderman: I don't think will get a date.

I don't accept this view in a world where we got a new Wolfenstein game.

God of War being made like one long uncut scene (never fade to black or loading) from start to end ala Children of Men & Gravity sounded very intriguing from last years E3. Should prove very hard to put the controller down.

The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein are legitimately the only exciting things about this E3. If Sony's big guns are TLOU2 and GOW, they will be only slightly above MS's bottom tier shit conference.
