Sony E3 Conference confirmed for usual time (Monday 6pm PT)

If there's one thing I want from this conference, it's a revival/comeback of a classic-but-dormant PlayStation franchise. And no remaster or remakes either - I'm talking entirely new from the ground up.

Some candidates being...

- Jumping Flash!
- MediEvil
- Ape Escape
- Vib Ribbon
- Jak & Daxter

It's okay for him to tease, just please don't explicitly tell us what's coming hours before the show.

A remake in the style of Crash/Ratchet or a reboot in the style of Tomb Raider is most welcome, but I would take Syphon Filter, SOCOM 2, or Warhawk over any of the above.

Not really sure how anyone can expect them to top 2015.

they did in 2016 tho

Sony have too much to show; obviously time's going to get eaten up by all their third-party partnerships with EA, Acti, etc. Then there's the backlog of previously announced first-party titles, plus PSVR and digitial stuff.

I'm actually mildly concerned that there'll be relatively few surprises this E3 simply due to the amount of imminent "business" they have to get out the way.

Easy thing, just announce and showcase a lot of quality games that will come out within 24 months, not games that will be out when 50 % of GAF is already dead (Shenmue 3 and FFVII Remake).

Obviously a subjective thing, but I'm not just hyped for stuff that's coming out 100 years from now on.

They need 2 E3 press confs. :P

Game announcements dictate whether it's good or not, obviously.

Like for me, a BB2 and DMC5 would make it the best E3 conference of all time. So simple, right?

This has already been addressed.

Sony has no control over when third parties are ready to announce, or over delays.

But when you look at the ratio of what's been announced then released, the vast majority is within a year.

I'm hoping for some actual exclusives instead of indies that littered the MS conference.

They need to keep the pace of this conference good else I might fall asleep.

So what PC game can Sony trot out this year in the almost annual "We will be bringing this game that is huge on twitch/youtube to console" and then it never happens? what is there counter to pubg (which I STILL don't think can run very well on the CPU in the Scorpio).

DayZ could resurface lol (but maybe it could, its about to hit Beta, and recent improvements have really improved the games presentation...), but that CPU issue still looms IMO

I definitely agree, but the poster was addressing the 2015 conference, which is mostly remembered by quality of the re/announcements of The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3 and FFVIIR.

Good thing they have PSX they can fall back on in December.

Expecting good things this year Sony. Im really hoping we see whatever Rocksteady has been working on since Arkham Knight. Surely that VR thing hasnt taken up all the time...right?

My #buildingthelist hopes:

-Demon Souls Remaster
-Shenmue HD Collection
-Colony Wars revival
-Warhawk revival
-Siren revival
-Something Phantasy Star related

I'd love that too but i think it's too early . Next E3 maybe. Also doesn't WB usually announce games outside of events? Injustice was right before E3 and i wanna say it was the same for AK.

Buildingthelist is more of a 3rd party thing.
Out of that list I can see Shenmue HD happening.

I´d love a first party #buildingthelist. I´d spam for Wild Arms and MediEvil so hard.

So has anyone made a list of 3rd party games with marketing rights that will probably show up at the conference? At the top of my head

COD WWII
Destiny 2
Battlefront 2
FIFA 18

FC5 will probably show up too. RDR2 is Sony as well but probably won't show up.

Considering Far Cry 5 hasn't shown up on MS's conference yet, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony has marketing dibs there.

Still torn if I should watch at 3am or get up a little early and watch before work. I'm expecting it to be under 90 minutes (last year was a little over an hour iirc) but I'm not sure if there will be a stream available by 5am already. How long does it usually take for these things to be re-uploaded? Or can you usually go back in the live stream?

my final hopes and dreams:

- Shenmue Remastered Collection
- Ni No Kuni II release date
- DQ XI localization announcement
- New game from From Software
- FF IX PS4 port
- Shadow drops ( Windjammers? PS2 classics? )
- Spiderman, footage of Peter Parker's gameplay bits
- Sucker Punch new IP

I know its been answered a million times and even says in the E3 thread but I keep hearing conflicting times about when the pre-show starts and when it starts properly. I thought it was 1am UK time for the pre-show but I've seen 2am being touted for the pre-show. What is it?

They do, there was PlayStation splash screens on all videos on Ubisoft channel.

1AM pre-show UK time, 2AM conference.

This is why they have PSX i think. Basically to spread out the announcements and let non-megatons have some space to breathe.
Still can't believe they didn't reserve TLOU Pt2 for E3 though lol.
