It will be absolutely incredible with the orchestra. Having a hard time seeing them fuck this up given the quality of the OST lol. Then again, it probably won't even be there. xp
Peope were expecting the following from the conference:
- $399
- 1 new AAA 1st party IP
- 1 AAA third party exclusive
- 1 old IP comeback...Banjo, Fable, etc
- Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2 and SoT having an impressive showing
I think some expected all of that (most of the guys at the Xbox thread for sure) and some expected some of that.
Noone expected none of that.
Add to that Phil stupidly overhyping the conference at the start with the 22 exclusives nonsense and the annoyhing "EXCLUSIVE" voiceover at the start of each trailer, with the confusing messaging (launch exclusive, world premier, etc) and you have a recipe for disaster. The meltdowns were real

They havent been late the last 2 E3s. They were on time at PSX too.
I don't remember any recent Sony conference delay, maybe I've been watching too many conference.

Imo the Ms conference was good. They showed a few games I have never heard of and so on. It just wasnt a conference that yells "you need a microsoft system in your life". Yo arw absolutely right with the last part of your post. The whole "exclusive" stuff was... stupid.

Why are people talking like its confirmed that SP new game will be MIA today? They can have a trailer for the reveal today and gameplay at PSX. No need to hold back for the reveal. Its been too long, it needs to happen today.
Also, SotC will be a remaster? Lame if true. Wasnt it already remastered? Why do it again? A remake would be amazing though, just imagining the game running on something like the Decima engine... oh boy.

Regarding SotC everything points to a remake.
But if people call the new Crash a remaster I don´t even wanna debate this mess.
Last 2 they were 100% on time. Last years can be confused as being late, since no one got on stage for 5 minutes due to the orchestra.

I have a surprising lack of hype. I think it's a combo of Sony keeping quiet, no leaks, no insider teases and the simple fact that this E3 so far has been, well, meh.
Also, we all know that have a ton of known content that they have to cover. Which is great, but I just feel the potential for striking new announcements are lower this year and that's really the best part of these shows for me.
Its a new feeling for me. I'm usually hyped to hell. But it's kind of nice to not have these outrageous expectations. Looking forward to tonight.

Its the most hyped because its the most recent rumor. I am more excited for stuff like GoW, SP new IP and Spider Man personally.
But even so, SotC was/is a great game with a big fanbase, nothing wrong with being excited for a remake.

Because it all comes down to timing, if Sony think it's not ready to be shown then we will see it at a different time.

Insomniac is most likely going to be all about Spiderman and nothing else, so i wouldn't count on it. Even a mention that they're working on the next game would be worth it for me!
I also want a new Ratchet, but unlikely.

I'm not saying it was bad, mind you, specially for the mass audience... but it was really dissapointing for Neogaf and the hardcore Xbox fan base that was expecting at least "something" after overhyping themselves
And those are their target after positioning themselves out of the market with that price.

I know you posted this yesterday, but still. What does Sony need to take note of? The last two years have been all games. Hell last year was basically Layden coming out talking for a minute and then just game after game after game. I expect pretty much the same thing this year.
Also this has been the least productive work day I have had in a very long time lol.

I am getting excited for SotC Remake, I didn't play Ico and SotC but I recently played The Last Guardian and loved it.
So it would be really great for me if a full blown remake is true.
