I only heard about this game because of the gamergate shit. Definitely going to steer clear of it now. I am excited for a Jimquisition episode on this though.

I believe people can change or mature (I used to be abit transphobic myself even though I didn't think I was, I didn't change until I was made to feel like a proper asshole), sure, but with the recent tweets seeming to indicate he hasn't changed much at all, this whole thing reeks of "Oh shit" panic mode. He got his hand caught in the cookie jar.

Most I feel like I can hope for is that he feels like a proper jerk now after the outrage and actually takes a look at himself to work on some things.

I genuinely feel for those who helped make this game not knowing how shitty this dummy is. It must suck spending years on a project, sending it out into the world for the first time, and have all of the attention be negative because of his actions.

I am not defending the backlash. I won't support it either, but I do feel for those team members who didn't know. It's a damn shame.

I agree. Its gotta be extremely disheartening to work on such a cool project only for it to be smeared by someone being a piece of shit.

At least we can say the game itself looks incredible but im definitely passing on coping it.

How can you be so sure that they didn't know? Usually when you spend 12 hours a day for years at a time with the same person, you get to know them real well. Especially how open this guy is about his views on twitter.

IIRC, the company response mentioned that they were "surprised" by his "old" tweets.

How they managed to not notice it for so long is a fucking mystery.

No because you can still be a part of the alt right and vote for Sanders. You can be a misogynist and still vote for Clinton for example. Who you vote for doesn't somehow define who you are in every other aspect of life or vice versa.

There exist plenty Bernie voters who went to Trump after he lost the primary. Most of them are the anti-establishment type of voters. The dev is most likely voting for Melenchon for the same reason.
