Beyond Good and Evil 2 E3 2017 CG Trailer (prequel, online or solo, early access?)

What did you fucking think of the fucking Beyond Good & Evil 2 trailer?

Very weird (but cool) trailer but not sure about the online aspects. Feels like a Mirror's Edge: Catalyst situation where there's no way the game was even getting made unless it included certain marketable elements. I'll definitely still play it though.
 
Please open your eyes and pay attention to the fact that although extremely well done, it was all a CGI, AND, it really doesn't look like the gameplay is going to be BG&E at all.

It will be 15+ years when the sequel lands, do you expect a game that is similar to the first? It's no like it has aged very well, it's a very restrictive stealth game with a tiny 'open world'.

Except she was the one to leak Rabbids x Mario, right down to the composer, and said this is the same source that gave her that information.

Not really. Sure the random swearing was surprising but even the first game had somewhat coarse language. Other than that it very much has the same Fifth Element-ish vibe of the first one with the weird aliens, hovercrafts, futuristic worlds etc.


Hoping that the online world part is simply some kind of Souls-like coop multiplayer. BGE was a story driven single player game inspired by Zelda, this can't just be another MMO. Also looks much more imaginative than that teaser from last gen that made it look like AC or Mirror's Edge or something

Based on what he's said in the past, this seems to be much closer to what their original vision for beyond good and evil was - they wanted to do big open world's and space exploration but were limited by console power. So this i can see why it's gone this way but as a big fan of the original, it's kind of unwelcome.

For me it's more about being able to explore that universe again so i'm good to go
 
I have lowkey been waiting for this moment at Ubi's E3 conference since pretty much the first teaser was shown nearly a decade ago. I can't believe it actually finally happened
 
I never played the first but I'm glad the fans now have their sequel.

Did the original game have this much swearing?
 
Man, the more I think about this, the more sad I am. This isn't remotely the BG&E sequel I was hoping for. :-(

There's not much to go on to warrant some of the reactions. I think priority here is to announce plans to make a game. Looks like gameplay hasn't even been worked on.

I was ecstatic seeing the title show up. After they started talking more about the game, it just killed my hype. I'm glad theres a new B&E game but not like this.
 
Man when I heard 'online playground'... To have your dreams crushed in a matter of seconds after that trailer

Yeah, Ubisoft doesn't really do exclusivity. If it weren't for Mario in the Rabbids game that would definitely be on all platforms.

And remember the last time Ubisoft promised a exclusive title on a Nintendo platform?

Mario + rabbids is real
Bge2 cgi at e3 is real
Split dpad switch was real

She's been right about damn near everything she's leaked, literally the only thing she was off on was final retail price of switch.

Uh I never called her a liar, you're kinda putting words in my mouth. I'm just stating that way more often than not she's incorrect about her information.
 
The CG trailer was amazing.
The world is amazing.
It's BG&E2...

but fuck if i needed to see some gameplay, and the descriptions are vague to say the least.

All in all, the conference was pretty bad.
I hope they'll at least show something of these tech tools they created, in the next 6 year they'll take to actually make the game.
