LOL, we still got a long way to go til the beta, let alone the full release! This thread (and any possible successors) will probably go to strange places several times!
But hey, at least for the most part, this is still a HAPPY PLACE.
I'm not saying that. I'm saying Future Trunks came back again, that's what's similar. Androids and Zamasu are obviously very different, although I much prefer the Android arc to the Zamasu arc.
My point is that I just finished 70 episodes of DB Super (skipped the rehashed movie episodes) and I didn't feel like I watched anything new or inspired. It just felt lazy.
I don't mind a tournament every other arc, but give me something interesting. Buu interrupted the tournament in DBZ and that completely changed the arc. I know something has to happen in this upcoming tournament in Super, but we're not there yet.
Maybe if Trunks had stayed in the past or some other twist to make it more unique. There are quite a few other things I dislike about Super, but I definitely don't feel it's unique compared to DBZ. It doesn't even feel like a continuation of DBZ, just a rehashing of the same basic events over and over again.
That said, I do like what they're doing with Frieza over the last couple episodes.

I'm curious as to how big the roster will be. Will they keep it small and compact to better show off the character? Or will they go big to show off the variety of characters the show has offered?
We got a long way to go before the game comes out, and I doubt that they will release any new screenshots for now. Honestly, wait for EVO in two weeks. Why wait for screenshots if we are likely to get another possible trailer?

I'm hoping merged Zamasu is the final boss. He has a bunch of final boss ass attacks.

Lol, gonna be amusing to see how she fights.
Honestly, the only thing I expect, if anything, from GT moving forward is SS4 Goku (No Vegeta) and Omega Shenron, at least for this game.
I will take offense to them putting Pan from GT in this game over literally anyone else.
No joke, I would rather have Super or End of Z Pan.

Seriously though, it's probably the single most iconic thing from GT, and the form itself is still popular. I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see a SSJ4 Goku squirrel it's way into the base game, and maybe some other GT stuff show up as DLC in the future.
They can save that kind of things for a sequel. It's completely unnecessary to add Goku forms in this kind of game in the first draft of the roster.
We're already getting two Gokus in this. A 3rd is too much.

I've only watched DBZ until the end of the Cell arc. So I missed out on the Buu Sasha, GT, and Super. This game has put in the mood though, but I can only commit to recaps. Are there any good DBZ videos or series on YouTube? Something that would do a good job at th summing up everything I missed out on, including the movies?
I'd honestly just skip GT. That said, you can watch Super on Crunchyroll, FunimationNow, or Toonami (on Saturday nights).

Yeah, I hope that we would able to make a team of Andriod.
If we were to get Super characters, I think the best we would see is Beerus, Whis, Zamasu (whether if it is Goku Black, immortal Zamasu, or the fusion) and possibly Hit. Don't know about Cabba per ce, the other U6 sayians. That said though, I will admit that if we got to see some Universe 11 guys, that would be neat. Not sure about Universe 9 though- But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Who knows just how far Arc System Works is planning on going when it comes to this. For all we know, Super characters could be additional content in the future (depending on how far we are in Super and if we find ourselves in a different arc or the same one).
