i think in terms of GPU, the pro is pretty capable...and when paired with 'coding to the metal' 1st party console devs used, can be pretty incredible...so the GPU is not a problem. CPU is the bottleneck holding all the consoles (not just the .5 consoles) back. I think the CPU is the 1st thing Sony will upgrade so i dont think ps5 a 'half-step'. I don't think Sony will go back to using archaic CPU architecture so x86 will be a given. I don't think Sony will go with Intel as Intel's chips are way too expensive (and i don't think intel got an APU solution). So it's 99% confirmed back to AMD. So hopefully can produce a powerful and affordable enough Ryzen for the console makers to use. Let's not beat around the bush here...both MS and Sony chose Jaguar is because it's cheap. So i thin AMD will have to make Ryzen reasonable cheap enough before the console makers decided to jump full on to next gen.
