It's very much in David Ayer's lane, but I think some good direction could really help the film. I don't think it's worth the figure they paid Landis for the script, but it has franchise potential.

It's kind of asinine that Disney isn't live streaming all day like Star Wars Celebration...that was impressive.
Everytime I have to follow a press event by reading a live blog, I feel like I've travelled back in time. This is really no longer acceptable for anything but ComicCon.

It's not even acceptable for Comic Con. Their insisting on not improving the infrastructure in that building to allow for the internet to work reliably is the most egregious bullshit.
But how else can the people attending the event feel special?

I'm mostly just hewing to tradition in the case of Comic Con. If studios are bringing raw, untouched footage that might look kinda crappy then they shouldn't have to stream it out. If it's just a jokey Q&A and discussion then that should probably be streamed too.

It's kind of a shitty tradition, though. And tradition wasn't even really why stuff wasn't being streamed, if I remember right. It was because SDCC itself was worried ticket sales would suffer if a stream was provided.
Which has proven to be horseshit with pretty much every other convention that's offered streaming.

Apparently Hugh Jackman is voicing Scar in the live action The Lion King movie.
yep, kinda unrelated but BlizzCon streams all their content every year and the tickets sell out instantly

I've never been to a Comic Con, but have been told that it is an absolute clusterfuck of a nightmare of waiting lines. Streaming might actually make the experience better for people who do buy tickets.
The whole event sells out in minutes anyway......why in God's name would they be worried about ticket sales?

Honestly, just hitting twitter, searching #D23 or #D23Expo and setting the results to "latest" will probably work just as well as any liveblog.
Just sticking with ComingSoon because for as shitty as their liveblog system is I dig that Silas tries to get as many details written down as possible.
