John McCain has Brain Cancer

I hope he doesn't resign his Senate seat. Because this will cause him to miss many votes.

As opposed to the Republican governor appointing someone to replace him.

It's hard for me to feel empathetic for someone who has made it his life's mission to fuck over tens of millions of people, some of whom who have in all probability died from the same disease he will succumb to, albeit without ample government benefits and access to proper health care.

I do not mourn his eventual death and see this as a net positive for everyone other than his friends and family.

uhhhhhh.

Seriously. There's a video of Square on youtube from shortly after FFXIII was announced for 360. They were wide eyed and chain smoking cigarettes, detailing some of the events.

All you spineless pussies talking shit behind your keyboard in this thread would likely have killed yourself after a month of what they went through. I don't agree with the port in so many ways, but have a little fucking respect for a company that endured and overcame so much.
I was so close to sleeping and this post woke me right the fuck up. God damn.

On another note, I have no condolences to share or respect to give. McCain has not earned that from me. Tough time for his family, but at least he has access to the best healthcare. The rest of America isn't quite so fortunate.

I wish I had something nice to say to McCain. Cancer is the worst, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but it's truly difficult to care when the man has had his hand in the raping of our national healthcare system.

I just saw this news, my dad had this particular type of brain cancer and it was devastating how aggressive it was. I feel for his family and hope he has greater success than my family experienced, the only real solace I found from the whole experience was my father was over 80 when it happened and he had a full life worth celebrating. Whatever happens to McCain, the story of his life so far has been an incredible one and I think it is telling in a lot of responses the respect he is being paid.

You live in Massachusetts, which was ground zero for universal healthcare in America and the model for Obamacare. You're doing fine. :p

I don't see many, if any, people downplaying he went through hell. Please explain how that relates to the consequences of his actions of the last decade? He is/was attempting to interfere in the ability of people to gain access to healthcare that he has. If that makes people keyboard warriors then so are you for insinuating people who are sick should kneel down before him because he went to war. Lets see you say that to someone who could lose access for the ability to pay for treatment in the middle of their chemo regime.

People had been mocking his behavior, but several people had pointed out this as possible cause (or other brain pathology). Which makes sense, like his opinions or not, his behavior was extremely concerning.

Man brain cancer is awful and I wouldn't wish that on anybody, but I can understand the indifference of some people in this thread. When you push for policies that will negatively impact their or their families health, policies that will literally kill thousands if passed? Meanwhile you get full coverage and will be in the best possible hands for your conditon, but you're working to take that off everybody else? I can see why some people might not be in a sympathetic mood.

If this was any other individual people would not be this mean. Very unfortunate. Keep your indifference to yourself, no need to spout it out. The fact that you do on a board that talks about a man that has been diagnosed with brain cancer, shows that you really aren't indifferent.

My two cents. Keeping Mccain and his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Read the post dude. I disagree with so much that McCain has done and I hate the large majority of his politics. I'm pissed that so many people here don't have the decency to show a little respect for a man on his death bed that has endured some heinous shit for the sake of our country.

Yea. Not a fan of McCain but he 80 with braincancer. I think I can out politics down for ten seconds and thank him for his service.

My uncle died of brain cancer after multiples surgeries. It’s a painful and atrocious death when your brain becomes more and more damaged and deactivates many basic functions like smell, taste, speech, reading, half of his body paralyzed, etc. I’m not even talking about the extreme side effects of the medication.

He was only 50 and left his family behind him. Cancer’s an atrocious bitch, better have it as late as possible than early in life.

Maybe we should keep the politician McCain out of this thread and focus on the person McCain. Brain cancer is terrible for any person and I feel sorry for him and wish him the best of luck.

McCain has made mistakes, but this kind of bullshit makes you no better than Trump. Grow a pair of nuts and be a bigger man.

Let's see you spend 5 and a half years being tortured and beaten every two hours, only to eventually come back and become a presidential candidate.

I could but I'm a bit busy sitting in the hospital with my mother with pancreatic cancer. I'd ask for her thoughts on the matter except for the part where she has a tube down her throat. So please spare me the bullshit, my nuts how ever are significantly larger than yours. McCain has had plenty of chances to do the right thing and had never done it.

I can't talk about his brain cancer without talking about his job, because his job was to block other Americans with brain cancer from getting health care.

I can't say I had any feelings either way when I read about this. On one hand cancer just plain sucks, it took my grandma and my great uncle away from me and my family, on the other hand McCain and his political history suck too and he's one of my most disliked politicians. Hopefully his replacement will be more progressive and less evil than him.

His service during the brutal, murderous invasion of another country? Please. What he was part of during Vietnam was if anything far worse that what he did in the senate

Really now? Do you have the same attitude towards soldiers who toured in Iraq? Hopefully you find one and tell them that face to face.

And this coming from a person who thinks Iraq was the worst mistake in U.S. history. But that's not on the soldiers.

I've said similar to the face of an ex-IDF soldier, is that satisfactory? He didn't hit me like you were hoping though, a thousand apologies

I'm sorry I don't enjoy the taste of US military boot leather as much as you'd like

I'm from Europe and I don't have anything positive to say about the American military. However I understand that for some folks military is the best option in life. Do I blame them for the tens of thousands of lives ruined in Iraq, for example? No. It's really not that difficult to separate the pawns from the decision makers.

Oh spare me. McCain wasn't an impoverished desperate man who joined up because he had no options. He wasn't conscripted against his will. He was the privileged son and grandson of admirals who signed up willingly and knew exactly what he was getting into.

Well...your freedom could be a viewed as a direct result of American Military involvement in a couple of incursions that took place on your side of the pond.

Yeah, you did it all by yourself. My country didn't fight at all and Brits didn't do a thing. Taking all the credit for doing half the work. The real American way.

Unless he's Spanish where they propped up Franco, or Portuguese where they supported Salazar, or Greek where they backed the military junta, or Italian where they backed right-wing terrorists, or, or, or
