So do Republicans have enough votes to continue the repeal?
It's a partisan vote, and a speech about a bipartisan future that has no basis in reality, and McCain absolutely knows it. He's utterly useless.
Naw, Paul just demanded a vote on full repeal. He's putting on a show but he'll be a soldier when his vote fails.Very doubtful. Murko and Collins were a no even on the motion to proceed, so they're no on everything. Paul will be a no on anything not full repeal. Heller will be against everything when they get into because his seat is up. McCain was a no on the last bill and will likely be a no for most things. A few other senators are nos on various forms of the BCRA.

Same with the Cruz Amendment. They'll cut it, but he'll eat shit and fall in line if they give him a chance to sell it and nobody buys it.
It'll be easier for them to bend Heller in this context. I'm doubtful that they won't rally their boys around something.
You go to the hospital because you're literally shitting blood.Yea. I'm finding it hard to disagree with that general premise. Whatever gets done needs to be bipartisan. Shit is broken as it is now.
You go to the hospital because you're literally shitting blood.
Two doctors look over your case.
Doctor one says, "You have rectal cancer. You need surgery and chemo."
Doctor two says, "You have floopity blood of the droopsie-gloop. I prescribe leeches and a nice, long exorcism."
The doctors are fighting a lot over the alternatives, so you solemnly, soberly declare that they should split the difference: You'll allow them to perform the exorcism and do surgery on the leeches.
Later, you die of fucking rectal cancer.
Bipartisanship.
I was more referring to the dude wishing death on McCain.
We'll see. I hope you are right. I think this is just him making a small show of it, but I'd love to be wrong. No question that Cruz will eat shit. That being said, Paul is far more consistent.

I wish every single person in that room who voted yes just dropped dead of natural causes before their actions lead to the deaths of innocent people.
I also wish I had a billion dollars and could buy a big house in California with a helicopter and my own private IMAX.
Neither of these things will happen. I don't see how that violates NeoGAF TOS.
I mean yes that would be nice. The better short term solution is to not work with Republicans on bills because outside of the Russian sanctions they're pretty much all garbageSolution is what then? Dissolve the republican party? Good luck with that.

I think it's pretty obvious he just didn't read who I was quoting and just said that to save face.
Especially since my rebuke of McCain is pretty tame in comparison to the posts around it.
I mean it's more likely that the dems don't capitulate than they do so I don't need the luck but thanks.Ok. Good luck.

Republicans steadfastly refused to join with the Democrats on anything substantive for six long years after they retook the House, systematically undermining and attacking every piece of proposed legislation that had any association with or closeness to the sitting president. They were rewarded with both chambers of Congress, most of the country's statehouses and governors' mansions, and the White House.Ok. Good luck.
Ok. Good luck.
I didn't see it.Good lord, I thought the MJ smiley would be a dead giveaway that my post was supposed to be a joke.
Yep, even outside of that show me a good Healthcare bill that the Republicans propose that wouldn't upset the Dem voters. It's not gonna happen. They're not gonna be bipartisan because the Republicans will not try to pass anything that's remotely bipartisan. There is no solution until the GOP decides to start acting in good faith. If they don't act in good faith, then there can't even be a starting point. Because what will happen is that whatever shit the propose will just have an easier time getting passed.
ACA discussion was being bi-partisan. We ended up with a heavily watered down bill only to have no GOP support during the vote. And now we stand a good chance of it just being nuked completely.
I didn't see it.
I have photos disabled on mobile.

Good luck indeed, good luck getting Dem senators to vote on repealing aca, LGBT rights, climate change protection etc.

I can't believe it's 2017 and people still think the solution is to work with the Republicans to draft legislation that benefits everyone. How naive can you be?
Why not, lord knows he's given us plenty of reasons.Posted in the other thread.
I actually don't hate McCain, but this is rather vile symbolically. Really fucked up. Like absolutely disgusting.
