The Humble Monthly Bundle

HB has also promised to never repeat games from previous monthly's and other bundles they've done, correct?

I don't know of them saying they won't repeat any previous monthlies, but as far as I know their official stance is that they won't include anything that was in a $1 tier but if it was in a higher tier it is fair game but in general they should be mostly new to bundle games.

Thanks. So do others usually pause their subscription or simply cancel?

No clue what others do. I've subbed nonstop for several months now, as 1) these bundles seem to somehow always be at least 80% games I don't own, and 2) the early unlock alone is usually a phenomenal deal for $12.

Not sure if they've ever actually promised that, but so far they have not repeated anything. I imagine they won't in the future either, lest they risk angering their longtime customers.

NBA is blocked in the UK?

Weak

My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that you get a region restricted key for the region you're in. This just means that trading it might be a hassle, but you should be able to get a usable key for yourself.

Edit: I don't see that message about Onepiece BB on my page. Does that mean I'm not locked out?

Shot in the dark here, but does anybody have a copy of VA-11 Hall-A they'd be willing to part with or trade? I believe it was a Humble Monthly (?) game at one point and I missed it.

The question is OT but i don't want to open a new thread just for this, the gamemaker included in the gamemaker bundle is the 1.X version, not the 2.X right?

it seems to be a bundle made up of the discontinued gamemaker 1 instead of the new one.

so yes you are correct.

I just did a marathon key activation last night of humbles that I hadnt gotten around to yet and off the top of my head, Galactic Civ 3 and Steamworld Heist were in recent Monthly and also in other bundles earlier this year.

The dev of the Humble Original game called Fidel has clarified the situation regarding the absence of the concept-game Fidel from the Humble Trove.

By the way, I have bought the finished-game Fidel Dungeon Rescue, and I recommend it to all of you rogue-like puzzle-crawler fanatics.

Bought the bundle for nba myself its €10.50 atm as the $ has fallen abit :), Burning Blood is a great game and the port is well done bar the 30fps lock hopefully it means more people to play online

It's pretty funny reading the first few pages of this thread. So many negative comments and it's turned out to, for me, the greatest value in gaming.

It started out as a completely blind buy, but after a couple of months they began to list the "headline" game for the upcoming bundle.
Once they did that I have had no problems with the monthly bundles, since you are now able to make an informed decision.
Sure, sometimes you may pass on a bundle that you might have chosen if you knew everything that it contained, despite not wanting the "headline" game, but at least it's not completely blind any more, so you shouldn't end up with a bundle where you don't want any of the games.

You have to wonder if Humble should stop doing the "originals" and including demos in the bundles. It rarely does anything except make people upset.
While the demo for Hollow Knight worked to get me interested in the game, I've seen a lot of people complaining about not receiving the full version of the game once it was released.

If I'm honest, I thought that Fidel Dungeon Rescue ending up on Steam just meant that they were publishing it on Steam after a period of exclusivity, and that a key would appear on my Humble account.
The developer's explanation is reasonable, but I can't help feeling a bit "cheated" by it, just as people did with Hollow Knight.

Hollow Knight at least was a sneak peek, while other Originals were...well, full games on the table which turned in "deluxe, revisited, complete, reworked" edition when released on Steam.
At this point just stop giving out Originals dispatching them for full games and instead provide other sneak peeks.

Well the Originals get a lump sum of money as stated by the dev above. Maybe they wouldn't be able to release the full on product to Steam without that. HB might just be giving them the opportunity and help towards their goal

Hey everyone, this is Dusk Golem aka AestheticGamer. I have posted on NeoGAF since 2011, and have decided to resign. I have enjoyed posting about horror games here for years, but I no longer wish to support the site and will be leaving for good. I will still be around the internet, I go by AestheticGamer on YouTube, I make games on Steam as Yai Gameworks, and I plan to go by Dusk Golem on other forums. I'll be joining an off-set of the GAF community leaving to try other ventures like ResetEra (Official Twitter for that here: https://twitter.com/reseteraforum ). I hope some of you who read this may consider it, and I plan to try to expose more people to horror games in the years to come. Just not here.

I hope you all are having a good day, and know I always loved the community, and in the end it's the community I'm going to stick with, not the site itself. If you want to follow me, my official Twitter is here: https://twitter.com/AestheticGamer1

This was my last month subscribed. Looks like I picked a good jumping off point. I'll just stick to buying if the main game is something I want or picking up spares in th BST

It is up.

Overcooked, etc.

Edit: Beaten.

:P

overcooked is a nice pick up and killing floor next month might be worth snagging a few extra keys from other people to play with my friends.

overall not a super exciting month but I will take a one piece game and overcooked (even though i am not a huge fan of the one piece fighting games and have already 100%ed overcooked on the ps4)
