The worst DBZ youtube channels are the ones that upload clips from an episode that has just aired and then my recommendations are plastered with spoilers both in the thumbnails and titles.
Because of that I've had to make a habit of not visiting Youtube on the day it airs until I've safely seen the episode. : (

Why not? He fused with Goku's body.
It's also not unheard of for characters to get more muscular when they power up

Because it doesn't make sense, look at Goku Black. He was not bulky.
Gotenks and Vegito didn't get bulky when they fused.

It's interesting going back and reading the manga and finding that I enjoyed it right up until they started changing stuff. Would've been interesting to see how the manga would turnout if it kept the smaller pagecount and stuck close to the Anime still. I enjoyed it way more when it was quite similar to the Anime but added a couple of minor things (showing Champa and Beerus have a planet destroying fight in the past, Goku image training against Freeza, Cell and Buu)

For the manga at least. Even though Toriyama oversees it (and his changes mostly seem to be in how the characters are drawn) Toyable goes from the outline and does his own thing, the manga plotwise is quite different from the anime now.

Goku black was wearing clothes, he is drawn differently than Goku, but I think it's weirder to assume that black is lean, when it's literally gokus body
Goku and Vegeta are already bulky on their own too, no need to add more
It's just a visual/artistic decision, toyotaro Drew black bulkier than the anime did anyways

It already doesn't make "sense" that his body is leaner than Goku's when it is Goku's body anyway. It's mainly just an aesthetic thing. A lot of fighters know how to use bulky forms. Goku does and he is fused with his body after all.
It's Goku's body. Also Saiyans bulk up when they go to a higher transformation.

To be clear I was talking about when they just fused in chapter 23. By default he gets bigger and that doesn't make sense since neither Gotenks, Vegito or Gogeta did.

How I feel. The only character I hate with a passion is Goten.
Kid Trunks, Tien, Kale and Cabba I wouldn't say I'm fans of, but I want to like them more, and Kale I'm starting to like more.
Everyone else has me excited.
