Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight finalized for Aug. 26 - It's on!

Why is it that the 1st clip is shown from a normal angle while the 2nd with the knockdown is on some spy cam shit complete with some Jason Bourne ass shaky cam and zoom.

There's multiple photographers. You can see another ringside.

Dana white wolf tickets again 1 min of video out of 12 rounds

Maybe you missed the 37 interviews Paulie did where he said Conor shoved him to the ground out of frustration and dared him to release the footage, which is what has happened.

I mean Paulie claimed this wasn't a knockdown but a push. The video outright shows it was a knockdown from punches.

Ariel who is about as trustworthy as it gets in MMA Journalism flat out said he heard Conor got the better of him (or "much better than people would think"), Paulie by his own admission said he lost the first spar vs Conor and claims that he "won" the second but still even says that Conor beat him several rounds in that fight. Judging by how heavy some of the punches he took were (that left straight is legit strong, that's gonna rattle your brain) he probably doesn't accuratly remember what happened during that 2nd spar.

I'm not claiming this means Conor is beating Floyd or anything like that, but I think all signs point to Conor lit Paulie up.

Conor actually attributed this strange response from Paulie due to him being concuss.

Yeah I honestly don't think Paulie was trying to be dishonest about it. Keep in mind there's fighters who get outright KO'd / hurt in fights and don't think anything really bad ever happened to them until they are shown the footage. Paulie might have legit thought that he was just pushed / doing better in the fight than he really was.

looks like Paulie didn't go down due to a punch. He honestly looks exhausted in those clips.
I laughed at that left hand he got hit with lol. Paulie was never known for his defense....

I think he was already hurt badly and those last few shots just put him on his butt. The ones that dropped him weren't super heavy, but its clear he did take some big shots. I mean his memory isn't remotely accurate on the situation.

He said it was during one of Conor's worst moments where he was getting lit up and out of frustration just pushed him down. The clip before the knockdown doesn't show Paulie landing anything just before like he claimed and Conor doesn't look frustrated at all and is instead the one landing punches.

Paulie was likely just beat up by this piont and it didn't take much to sit him down

There are delusional guys on this forum who think McGregor doesn't have a chance.

He doesn't. Floyd has never been beaten in a boxing ring. He's the best boxer on the planet. He's going to fight a guy who is not a pro boxer. McGregor is going to get lt up.

did both clips happen in the same round? I don't know how to call that one. He wasn't pushed (ie shoved) down like Paulie was insinuating. He looked off balance tho. Perhaps part of that was he was wearing down, another him being fatigued at that point.

that left hand tho lol. when did Paulie fight out of the shell in his career?

Probably because they told him it was gonna be the usual rotated sparring partners and when he got there he was going to suddenly go all rounds. Pretty easy to get someone when you ambush them like that.

I honestly like Paulie and feel pretty bad for him right now on Twitter. The responses are vicious.

He really really shouldn't have talked all that shit he did after he left Conor's camp and claimed this was a push. Its biting him in the ass hard right now

Paulie did get "a proper knock", but Conor's left hand was definitely on his neck:

That's some major grasping at straws that floating around. Yes Conor puts his hand on his neck but he's not pushing him, he's measuring for his next shot. Paulie got dropped by punches / exhaustion. In a boxing match that gets ruled a knockdown 100% of the time.

Its the last left hand that sits Paulie down

Dana White just leaked footage of McGregor vs Paulie's sparring session on his Instagram, oh shit.

Paulie hitting the floor doesn't look like a direct consequence of a punch from Connor, more like he got dizzy from the head movement and lost his footing... and lol @ that clip, connor barely above Rousey's striking skills... why the hell was he giving Paulie nuggies and was that a hammer fist?, Paulie looks like butt too though...

Some people really really reach to see what they want to see.

No i don't, i like Connor as an MMA fighter, but he doesn't belong in a boxing ring (much less with Mayweather of all boxers). He was hitting with this kitty like punches to the head. And then throwing this awkward assed punches, and those are cherry picked clips of a 12 rd sparring session, why not release the whole thing?, you know the answer to that.

Why would they release a whole private spar for Mayweather's team to pick apart? One of the only things McGregor has going for him is element of surprise

I'm surprised they released that much

Did I say he pushed him? All I said was he grabbed his neck, lol. Either way it doesn't look like Paulie got caught so much as he was tripped up in the moment. From what I can tell Paulie was able to get his head out of harm's way at the expense of his balance, but Conor kept the arm going and that's when he grabbed his neck as he was trying to regain composure and Conor punched him once as he was falling. Though again, It's kind of difficult to say with the way the film was shot and sliced.

Also the fact that one of the biggest appeals of this carny fight is to see how Conor even looks in a boxing ring.

Yeah man, i would laugh if i saw him training @ my gym. Unless he is doing it on purpose... but i don't think so and other than showing terrible technique he was indeed gassing out after hitting the bags. People thinking that he has a legit chance are nuts, only way he wins is if Mayweather gets careless or stupidly decides to stand and trade punches with McG... that or some random act of God.

I can safely say that i'd smoke McG inside a boxing ring.
This is like deja vu of every preflight thread in his UFC career

I'm not gonna rule verdict on a sparring session I haven't seen the entirety of but Paulie should've considered he might be used this way to promote the fight in advance.

You're a known boxer who agreed to be a sparring partner for a guy that's being given next to no chance in a fight that was made solely because of the profit involved. Not only that but you show up looking like a nerd who maybe goes to the gym twice a week. No way they're ever going to let anyone see you land a punch.

That's a good reason i guess, and i hope he looks much better than how he's looked in sparring and while hitting the bags because... LMAO.

Unless Mayweather really missed a step due to his age, or he stupidly decides to stay in the pocket and trade punches, McG has a 0.01 chance of winning. He can predict all he wants but it ain't happening (watch me jinx Mayweather and Connor somehow KO's him fulfilling his prediction).

If Conor wins (he won't) there will never for the rest of time possibly as much crow that will have to be eaten as after this.

The hot takes / certainty about him being "terrible" are off the charts.

I can't wait for the "Of course Floyd was going to lose, he's old and out of shape versus a dude in his physical prime. Not very impressive on Conor's part, the whole fight was a complete joke just for Floyd to get one last pay day" revisionist history

Conor's coach John Kavanagh confirmed they plan on releasing all 12 round of sparring footage with Paulie after the Mayweather fight. So that should at least answer who won that.

Feeling bad for Paulie, he said on Twitter that that big straight left he took was in the 12th which he admitted he lost 11th and 12th from gassing out, you could tell he was still trying to help Conor by mimicking Mayweather's stance and shoulder roll defense. I still don't think it's a knockdown, the video conveniently doesn't show the feet, Conor was pushing down on his neck and right before he went down you could see Paulie's lead leg jerk up as if it tripped over Conor's foot. Also, based off of ref Cortez hands right before the video cuts you could tell that he was about to call a no knockdown. Why didn't they show Cortez calling it a knockdown and give Paulie a standing 8?

I believe Floyd's going to start walking down Conor in the middle rounds and fight in the pocket/phone booth. He ain't gonna be trading punches tho cuz Conor's not gonna be hitting him much.

Wow I suspected from Paulie's behaviour that he was sour because he got lit up by McGregor, but I couldn't imagine that he got trounced this bad.

Good stuff.
