People think Capcom gonna be fair and cheap with their DLC prices?

mj-laughing.gif

Just look at Street Fighter V. You gonna pay for every thing as much as possible and you gonna like it.

Well, you don't pay for characters, which is pretty much the biggest reason everybody else is more expensive.

Yeah the fact that SFV is currently like 90 bucks if you want just all stages and characters (not counting the base price) is definitely crazy

Well thats a option that doesnt cover much and isnt really a thing for most people.

And prices are still overpriced as fuck even with the existence of Fight Money.

Stages cost 4 fucking bucks. No excuse for that.

And that doesnt even include any costumes which i would be fine not owning every costume but cmon they are all 4 bucks.

Literally every costume coming out is now considered "Premium".

Yeah I really doubt the prices are gonna be much cheaper even with the lack of fight money here. I guess you can argue "But this season has costumes and SFV doesn't do that" but I don't think it'll amount to much.

Paying for stages is whack. No FM to save us here.

That's the only benfefit to it really if you're not someone who plays a ton. If you buy season passes for characters. You end up getting more than enough fight money for most stages. BUT then there are the cash only stages and other DLC and shit just gets muddled.

Using FM on anything but character is out of question really.

Thats logically the best way but there stuff like colors that are Fight Money only what sucks.

Street Fighter V is a nightmare for people who want to unlock as much stuff as possible.

And its gonna go to Dead Or Alive of DLC craziness in the future.

So is anyone expecting Orbs to be a factor for Strider in this game?
Yeah they are going to be a factor. Install hyper are going to be a factor in this game for sure because spending meter on combos is going to be less efficient this time around (you will still do it but less so).

Bomb who did you say you were looking at using day 0? Thor/ Jedah was it?

The lack of FM will be felt while we're nickeled and dimed.

But the nerf to chip might neuter Ouroboros, no?

I still don't know who I'm going to play Day 1 besides Iron Man.

One of: Captain Marvel, Gamora, Thanos, Nova.

I feel Captain Marvel might be too technical for me to play so it'll probably end up being the grown ass man.

If anything, the opposite. If you can get it for free I imagine you can inflate real life money costs for characters and that's why SFV's are so high. But yeah I can't see them being any pricier than the characters in SFV. If anything, less.

Dumb question time. If Sony is holding back crossplay on PS4 why can't there be crossplay between PC and XB1?

Sony is fine with crossplay between PS4 and PC (SFV and Rocket League to name some). It's just crossplay between PS4 and Xbox they don't allow. It's up to the developer to implement that though, and Capcom didn't want to this time around.

I don't see things in this being that much cheaper that in SFV, tbh. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they are.

Yup, Marvel license and the development still costs shitload of money so I'm pretty sure that we are going to pay a lot of money for those characters and hopefully stages.

Paying for stages is whack. No FM to save us here.

If it's quality then I wouldn't have any problem to purchase it but they need to use unused franchises like DMC, AA, etc.

I'd bet not, I don't think SFV's does. Maybe 1 stage.

I'm curious how stages will be handled. In SFV I buy the Season Passes and buy everything else with FM, specifically the stages. I can't see myself bothering for this since you can still enjoy the stage if your opponent picks it.

Not individually, but everyone cited the FM system as the reason for the exorbitant SFV DLC pricing, so they have no excuse not to have lower prices than SFV, Marvel license or not.

Well, the two season passes are identical in content and price so it's 1:1 so far. I alsp don't know if DLC costumes will be cheaper because, like SFV, you have to pay real money for those too.

The only thing I can see being SLIGHTLY cheaper is the veteran characters.

just because SFV had stages dont assume this will aswell. People are making a hell of a lot of assumptions with this game.

There are going to be more stages in the game down the line.

Don't even kid yourself with this man.

Oroborus hasn't been about chip since MVC2. It's now a pressure/mix up tool, when you activate you gain better command over the game's neutral.

I probably should have said the costume DLC specifically.

I was OK with the SFV season pass pricing. The character pricing isn't too unreasonable, and the SFV pass is a decent value bundle with the extra costumes.

$4 costumes in this game would be egregious. I don't think they will be $4 a piece though, as that would mean they're giving $8 worth of DLC for preorders, and none of their preorder costumes bonuses in the past have even been worth that much.

how much are costumes in other fighting games? Injustice and whatnot?

I can only see the MKX packs on steam (which are 4 euros for 3 costumes it seems), and SF5 only has bundles, theres a bundle with a costume for each of the 16 original cast members for 29.99, so 30 divided by 16 would be a little under 2 per costume.

There's been a bump this gen because publishers can get away with it more easily.
For last gen a small bundle would typically work out to be a dollar or less average per character for most games. Not many games had single purchase options. Oddly enough SFxT had them for $1 a piece.

That is very optimistic.
More like completely unrealistic.

To be fair, that's the same game where you can earn your DLC characters......& stages. I'd imagine that its absence in MvCI related to the Marvel license.

Spider-Man
Iron Man
Captain America
Hawkeye
Gamora
Nova
Captain Marvel
Panther
Venom
Strange
Thor
X
Ryu

Pockets ain't empty cuz. Space + Mind + Power + Time grooves all look fun too.

Also Thor looks absolutely ridiculous this far. Sheesh.
