Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

I'm not clear about something - are all three subclasses per class from Destiny+Taken King returning for a total of four subclasses per class?
 
urgh.... went out to Walmart at lunch to pick some pop-tarts up and there was the physical copy sitting there waiting to be bought (with people doing just that). Went home and pounded on my digital copy to boot. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, return to store, nope, nope, return to store. Salty tears.

This, and also: Essentially, it's

3 Classes - Hunter, Warlock, Titan
3 Elements - Void, Solar, Arc
2 subclasses (called "paths") per element that are more or less distinct depending on element/class

for a total of 3-6 subclasses per class, depending on how you want to define it. (e.g. Bubble titan will likely play very different from captain america titan, but they're both void-titan subclasses)

Defender/Bubble Titan still exists though, just not called that. but yes.
 
Hunters were great. I mained Hunter in D1 and while I also had a Warlock I never felt comfortable with it.

Hunter's movement was perfection. And I liked the fact you could blink strike yourself out of harm's way. Paired up with Monte Carlo you could pretty much be invincible forever (this was useful in CE for example). Or throw smoke bombs in TTK. Blink was annoying in PvP, but I loved it. It was stylish as fuck. Triple jump from gunslinger was fine as well. And the Bones added another one, good lord.

At first, during VoG, it was assumed Hunters were most useless in raids (to the point they weren't welcome in LFG lol), and yeah they can't self res or put up a shield but at some point I simply didn't die anymore unless we all wiped. I invised out or just used my agility well. Self res meant warlocks were saving their bar only to erase their fuckup. Titan shield was just all around great. Hunters could still generate quite a bit of orbs if GG was used well.

I played D2 beta with a warlock and the aerial move is cool but still I don't like the overall feel. I also feel I've played Hunter for too long, so I am currently planning on starting D2 with a Titan. I'm jelly of that shield and tiger knees.
 
Went to a couple of mom and pop shops this morning trying to score a physical copy. They were sold out. Feels bad.
 
I'm getting the game tomorrow and i'm a Mythic member (from old bnet) My friends in the mythic group on bungie.net are saying the mythic emblem is not present in d2. Has this truly been confirmed?
 
Love what they did with Titan

First like a big rig on water and then suddenly inside a cyberpunk, nature, industry vibe. Wasnt expecting that.
 
So did anyone confirm yet if campaign is playable co-op straight away (other than homecoming i imagine)?

There was some talk yesterday that you can't until you finish the game, so just replaying missions as a fire team...

Debunked. I think the opening moments are solo only, but everything after that is co-opable.

Im pretty sure someone from bungie said on twitter that this rumor was "absurd". I think its the 2 first missions or something, then it opens up.
 
I can't believe that subtitle font is in the final game. That has to be my only gripe now. D1 font and size was perfect. I have subs on for every game I play and this shit is ugly and big for no reason 😠
 
It's past my bedtime so I'm on the hard stuff tonight - just drank 1 litre of double-strength Yorkshire Tea and necked a couple of Tesco's knock-off pro-plus. Jittery as fuck, these last two hours are going to be hell. I think I need to go run a ten miler and calm my tits.
 
I swore I wasn't going to get this game.... Now it looks like I'll start downloading it this evening. Shame on me. On the other hand what up Dgaf long time no see!!!

Curious, why is the Destiny 2 OT on the gaming side and not the community side?

Played a part of the campaign thanks to a friend, it was really boring, cool destinations and sceneries, but Destiny doesn't shine best with its campaign. Cinematics are quite cool on the other hand!

Our Guardian remaining silent was, as expected, ridiculous. Too bad.

I never thought Bungie could make such a boring vehicule gameplay on Titan...
It was awful
 
Campaign is such a improvement tho, Wasnt that hard also. But its overall more intresting. More characters and alot more cutscenes.
 
I don't get it I pre-ordered the game come home and it says would you like to preorder? Yet I've already been charged already and have received an email confirmation. Urghhh
 
this thread is massive already so this may have been asked but why does my Xbox One digital preorder say available 9/20/17? This shit better be available at midnight tonight...
 
Welp, made it through a tornado warning, 70 mph winds, 1-inch sized hail, and torrential downpours but my internet connection is still alive. Crisis averted for now...

Time needs to tick a little faster....
