Destiny 2: Shadow and Order is undergoing large revisions and will be delayed.

Update gets delayed back tot he time for the next expansion, only supposed to be 2 of those a year now with 2 updates. If they can't even manage this, there's zero point even pretending to continue with D2.

Maintenance mode beckons.

Crazy how Destiny addicts are acting right now. These people need to it go. It's over, move on.
How are Destiny addicts acting right now exactly? Where do they need to go? I'm not seeing any of that in here, so where are they acting out?

I mean in the communities and Youtube side of things. I went there to see their reaction to the delay and people are doom and gloom or angry with Bungie, when it is obvious D2 hasn't been their priority for some time. Players need to understand that nothing lasts forever and they can't demand the company to make content forever. If Bungie leaves Destiny behind, so be it.

You think a non live service shooter would last more than 2 minutes in todays market?
It's a harsh reality.

As someone that absolutely adored arena shooters growing up, and still does, there's a lot of reasons why we haven't seen them in the AAA space. I wish we had them and more of them, but there's a lot of reasons why we don't.

I'm still hoping for a reboot/remake of Quake to set things right.

Considering every expansion is paid, I don't know? Is 11k players this long after it launched that bad? I really don't know.
I don't think it is. They have mostly stuck with the sci-fi theme and haven't gone bonkers with eververse items that they do sell. What I am trying to say is, they didn't completely drift away from their core theme and try to become "Fortnite".
