Random weird question from someone waiting on PC: I know the D1->D2 carry over stuff is not cross platform (i.e. D1 XB1 won't carry to D2 PS4), but has there been any news about importing D1 characters from console to PC? I'm assuming not, but it does make me sad to make the D1 PS4 -> D2 PC conversion.

Mine automatically imported, and there's a small segment after starting the game that will mean different amounts to people depending on how much you fell into Destiny. Can't say much more than that without spoiling but it's nice if you loved the first game.

D1 guardians are automatically there if you played D1 and beat the D1 campaign. You get emblems.

You also get a special intro

If I played D1 on PS4 and get D2 on PC and my PSN and Battle.net / Bungie accounts are linked, will it import?

i don't think anything has been said. you can link both your PSN + Battle.net to a Bungie account so i'd like to think that they have some way of transferring stuff over. probably not though

i'll be moving to PC next month but i didn't bother transferring my character over. wanted to do Warlock class anyway.

It was a little joke, a bit of an unfair one – sorry – as it's from the Vault of Glass lore. Praedyth was one of Kabr's fireteam that descended into the Vault, but never managed to defeat the enemies therein and ended up being lost in time. It just made me think of it when I read your post.

PVP seems dumb. Two games now and the levels have been totally imbalanced. 2,5,7 v 10, 13, 15. I'm hoping that's just because it's early days, but christ.

Levels shouldn't matter...? It isn't iron banner? Either way, give it a week or two for people to get to max levels and figure out the meta. It will stabilize.

True, though the skills and how they're effectively used in PvP are really quite different to PvE. I get what you mean about the base knowledge but at the same time you could have someone level to cap and max-power in PvE and hop into PvP for the first time and be trash.

mission so I'm pretty early on. I'm happy to see they fixed the sound from the beta. The weapons sound amazing and feel weighty.

It feels good again and I was slightly worried after playing the beta.

Soundtrack is easily worth $9.99 if you like that sort of music while working or whatever. I've been playing it through this morning while wireframing and it's just great. The emblems are an added bonus, and really nice. Don't think you can go too wrong.

You get a ton of XP from Heroic Public Events, so I'd say those are absolutely worth mixing in while doing story missions.

Just wrapped up the first session. Man that is a big improvement so far in terms of the campaign and general connective tissue while leveling.

ARs seem pretty good again, at least in PvE. Been using them over everything else thus far when I can.
