Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

since they fucked up the Nightfall with the Timer, is there another way to level up above 270 ?? other than Flashpoint and farming Legendary Engrams from normal strikes
Legendary engrams only go to 265; 270 with a +5 mod.

To get past 270, you need exotics and milestones/powerful gear(also called luminous engrams).

Cheers man. Hawk I remember playing D1 launch with you back in the day, good on you for sticking around and being a mainstay of the DGAF community. I think I'm in for the long haul with this one.
<3 we in here
Given the record books in the first, I thought for sure we would get something like that for the Grimoire. Hoping they add something like that in down the line and there's some more long form stories and such to find instead of just the couple lines your Ghost says when you can something.
Yeah! I hope so. I love the presentation and the way you can consciously hunt lore in the world, I just wish all the writing was accessible after the first listen!

Guys... I kinda want to buy this, but I have some worries. Do the season pass grants me all the dlc? Is the microtransactions really bad as people are saying?

Anybody score the D2 version of the MIDA MT??
And if so, how can I obtain?
1.) Complete the main story and all follow-up EDZ story missions
2.) Get the Mida Mini-Tool from Devrim Kay as a quest reward
3.) With a Scout Rifle, get 50 precision kills and 25 kills without reloading
4.) Dismantle five Blue or Legendary Scout Rifles
5.) Get 50 airborne kills with an SMG

The Expansion Pass will give you the first two expansions, coming in December and another in Spring. It won't grant you any beyond that.

The MTs aren't really bad. The shader changes suck but that's more of an in game economy thing than a direct MT issue.

Only the first 2 DLC's. While no more are announced yet, it is likely we'll get atleast 4 like we did for D1.
The things you can buy ad micro transactions, you get for free every time you fill your XP bar after level 20. I never paid for them in D1 and I will never either in D2, just play the game - you get everything you need.

Season pass is the first two expansions.

Microtransactions are in the game but probably won't affect you much. Definitely not a make or break problem.

Call to Arms Shaxx Quest
EDZ Flashpoint

Both grant Powerful Gear

I think they'll be following the plan they originally had for Destiny 1 but scrapped because of the development issues:

September 2017: Destiny 2
December 2017: Expansion I
April 2018: Expansion II
September 2018: $40 retail release expansion
December 2018: Expansion III
April 2019: Expansion IV
September 2019: Destiny 3

You bullshiting me? Serious question, my sarcasm meter is broken after a long day of steel fabrication.

The first two expansions. We don't know how much DLC there will be when all is said and done, but there will certainly be more.

if I may... FUCK no.

I guess I don't even know what the latest people are saying is. But I have never spent any money on Destiny microtransactions and likely never will. It hasn't hindered my enjoyment.

I have played many games with some implementation of a cash stop or another, and Destiny's is honestly among the most boring and non-intrusive. You actually get stuff from the Eververse (cash shop) for free just by playing regularly.

so that wardiff coil is fuckin' ridiculous in pve lol

if they're not a yellow bar they get sent like half a mile into the air

yellow bars don't go flying they just die horrific deaths

We haven't seen what High Moon has been working on right?

Only half true! Once you get past 271 legendery's increase by 1 for every level you go up, so for example im 273 power, my vender legendary's are now dropping at 268 and shit so are my blues!

Way of the Trapper. No doubt about it.

I am also happy to say that my "stealth infiltrator" playstyle for story missions is alive and way through Nightstalker shenanigans.

you are what is called a crazy person!

Describe your stealth infiltrator techniques for me, I'm genuinely interested

Of course not. I just finished getting the mida multi-tool last night. The quest isn't too hard as long as you're doing it on Earth. And for the last part (part five) go to Titan to complete it because it's much easier. Lots of shanks there.

WHAT

omg yes. I didnt want to level up everytime i luckily got an exotic. Now I just have to get over the 270 hill

One of the challenges on Titan today is to kill 40 enemies in the New Pacific Arcology? What specific area is that-because it's not counting any kills for me.

This is my first Destiny game and I'm already amazed, after finishing the beginning (at the farm now). Love the visuals (especially the art) and how satisfying the gameplay feels. And holy fuck, that soundtrack. I expected typical generic Hollywood ambient stuff, but what you actually get is amazing and memorable!

Already see myself putting hundreds of hours into the game.

I choosed the Hunter class. Was it a good choice? :)

I'll probably be getting this on PC at some point and I'm curious about the content I'll be missing out on. How are the PS exclusive strike and multiplayer map compared to the rest of them?
