Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Bungie has never put volume mixing settings in any of their games. I hate it.

historically their music lead Marty O Donnell was against any sort of in game mix controls and only wanted his designed mix for the game.

Almost immediately after he left they added the separate music toggle and game volume slider in a patch to Destiny 1. All apologies to Marty, but I just found that hilarious when it happened. Anyway, since most of this engine was written with Marty having say on how the sound engine was designed, I imagine it's probably not really built for super fine grained separation of the mix like that.

thanks for the explanation, i almost boot up d1 because i thought my memory was going to shit. i hope they implement it later on, is not that i dislike the music but i like to have it at least on 85% on all games

Don't worry too much about it. Farming tokens isn't that hard and time consuming. From now on though wait till you are 259+ before cashing them in.

yeah, will do that. thanks for the tip

260 is the cap for blue weapons/armor. So just get to 259 by exclusively using blue weapons/armor. Then when you are at 259, cash in everything you have to vendors. I had saved up so much that I went from 259 to 266 in 15 minutes, thus getting to 265+ which is your goal.

So what's the fastest way to farm blues without taking a week waiting for random drops?

I don't like very many scout rifles but I really love this one:

I'm just a huge fan of Suros weapons in general... The aesthetics and audio feedback from Suros guns is awesome. Gun comes with the sleek SLO-10 sight + flared magwell and DragonFly. I only wish that it had a slightly faster firerate... It does hit really hard though.

How'd you get it? Gunsmif?

Isn't that pdx-45 from D1?

Haha, I don't think we'll be able to finish the Nightfall. 12 minute time cap that gets extended in increments of 2-7 secs? The elements change so often you can't even keep up with changing weapons. What is this fuckery? I'd rather have Trickle back...

Is there a way to find out if a gun is a semi auto or not without trying it out?
I try these guns out, don't like them and "fuck which out of my 5 to 9 guns was I just using?".

Finished the campaign and thought it was weak. I think that part of the positive response is that Destiny 1 was such an unfinished mess on launch that anything would seem better in comparison.

Felt like the worlds you visited as the game went on had little to do with the actual plot. They look great, and some of the side-content is solid, but you touch base on them for a second and then it's off to the next zone.

Personally, the Cabal are the weakest enemies to me both in visual design and mechanically, so having them be the primary enemies of the last portion of the game turned it into a real slog. It's exacerbated by the fact that level design turns into a series of identical corridors and that you fight such a paltry numbers.

I get that my grievances aren't really directed at what Destiny actually is. This is one of those cases where the true Destiny begins after the credits roll.

At what point do the strikes open up? I'm done with the campaign and other than having a strike challenge I haven't seen anything in game announcing the need to do a strike.

So should I just shard Exotics that are way below my power level or is it not worth it to do so?

if you like them you should at least infuse them.

thay being said I'm surprised Bungies doesn't have the exotic blueprints up and running.

If they are way below your PL and don't see use for them any time soon then just shard them for currency. Also consider using high PL exotics to pump up legendaries for increasing your overall PL.

You can always print new ones from your Vault's Collections tab. They come as lvl 16, PL 205.

Recommended power level for Strikes? I'm 219 & it's not going up at a decent rate at all. Just doing adventures & public adventures isn't paying off, but I want to hold off on other activities until I hit 260.

The grind from 200 to 260 is slow doing anything other than spamming public events. But spamming public events can get boring. Adventures and lost sectors are more fun but if you don’t have a strong fire team of three then they are much much slower than public events.

hand cannons are always semi. side arms can be either semi or burst and i don't think there are any fully auto ones i may be wrong. everything else is semi. when it comes to rifles...if it's an auto rifle then it's fully auto. scout rifles are semi and maybe burst? i'm not 100% sure.

I've had multiple full auto sidearms already. Pretty fun to use

Infuse is cheap I saw. Only 1 shard and a few glimmer. I just infused them. I liked Graviton Lance and the gauntlets that buff your cap america super.

I've been doing adventures solo. Let the slow grind continue.

The grind to 260 is real indeed. At 230 at the mo and its going up by 1 level every so often. But honestly I should finish the campaign, lol. It opens up much more.

That looks great.
