Years ago I would say a lot of the horrible words I today detest.
I would say "I only say them when I get pissed off, like if I stump my toe or something". But after years of really evaluating why those words are horrible and incredibly unnecessary, they disappeared from my vocabulary completely.
I know don't even think about them when I get furiously angry. I remember years ago that I got really mad over something (I think I accidentally broke my favorite headphones that I had won) and I yelled (alone) "goddamn motherfucking piece of shit cunt nigger bitch faggot".
I can tell you though, that about half a year ago when I dropped my phone and cracked it, I screamed (alone) "goddamn fucking piece of shit".

Austin's Twitter is on point. He corrects the n word with "asshole". In his mind the two things are linked. The fact he uses the word as an insult is more than enough proof to call him a racist regardless of where he is from or something like that.

I'm Swedish. We know exactly what the word means and that it is offensive. We've had a pretty much constant national debate about its use from at the very least the mid-90's.
Doesn't mean people don't say it. Lots of people either don't care or are being coy or wilfully ignorant about it. A lot of people use the same talking points that seem to be popular in American debates (from what I've seen).

I wish people got a better education on these issues while being younger. I include myself on the large group of ignorant people who did not grow up knowing about the use of this word and the African-American backstory, and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to explain why it's wrong and why people should avoid using them when it's not in their right to appropriate it (I actually learnt that there is a difference between the n word and nigga, which to this day I simply though it was just a different pronunciation).
People should not try to defend ignorance, even though they are not actually the ones to blame for it. But it's clear that PDP is not ignorant, since he has been involved in situations like this in the past and one would think that he at least had looked up a dictionary to avoid making the same "mistakes".

First he presented a case, the case of your country, that has very little to do with this case in had. (PDP is not dutch).
Secondly, if you see the video, you can see in his reaction that what he said is bad. So that line of defense (he didn't know what it meant) is inexcusable at this point.
Third, he tried to use the word in question, unironically, to present some point or something...
