Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Speaking of your guardian speaking, the Game Informer cover article mentioned a dialogue system with a snazzy interface. Were they fucking high?

Anyone else Luminous Engrams "broken" or bugged? They all say the same light level as the rep rewards. Is it bugged? Or is it a soft cap?

At 292 light level and Cayde's Flashpoint says the same light as, say, the gunsmith.

I was thinking this yesterday when I completed the campaign.. where was my snazzy convo interface haha

Question: since I've blitzed most of my powerful gear for this week, I may as well complete all them since I'm low level (232 PL) then hoard them from reset yeah?

Jesus this is confusing, along with the infusing lol.

Man getting past 280 with only one character is nigh impossible. It's possible if I got Exotic Arms and Chest but that is just a slough of a grind. Granted not nearly as bad as Destiny 1.

I think I'll just wait for the Nightfall/Clan Resets/Raid to get past.

With how hard it is to even get to 280, I'm convinced the Raid must either be 260 or 270.

A lot of the players who are 280+ have multiple characters of the same class which does make it easier. Though I doubt Bungie is expecting every person to go into raiding in 3 days to have used the same method.

Odds are they don't want to repeat of Destiny's situation where most players couldn't do Vault of Glass due to how stingy drops were.

Considering the Nightfall was only 240, I expect the raid to be in the 260-270 range.

Anyone know where or how to obtain the auto rifle "Origin Story"? I looked up a few videos online but everything was coming up unrelated and then I found something telling me I could buy it from Zavala but I can't purchase anything from him. Does his inventory rotate?

Got myself a Sweet Business exotic and immediately infused my war rig chest and let me tell ya'll -- it's about as close to heaven as I've ever come.

A solid 7-10 seconds, maybe more of straight firing. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Ha, I got it too. It makes a lot of noise and chews through the baddies in no time, although my precision kills stat dropped right off as it makes me a bit spray and pray.

There was something that you do for him that gives you the option of one of three vanguard weapons and it's one of them. Maybe the Strike Milestone? I can't remember exactly

Yep, you do two strikes for the milestone and he lets you pick between Origin Story (AR), Nightshade (Pulse), or Nameless Midnight (Scout).

It's redonkulous how it's still Destiny, but it's soooo much better. Like everything.

I still can't get over how slick the new UI is for everything.

I got mine from Zavala as a reward for something, can't recall what though sorry.

Edit! Two strikes milestone reward.

Shoot. I think I may have done a reverse-infusion on that weapon and gotten rid of it by accident. I guess since the milestone is story-related there's no way of getting it back besides beginning another character?

It makes sense. Since once you get into the 260-270 range it begins to slow waaaaay down.
Once you get to 265 you really can't go above unless you find exotic engrams or have the weekly rewards to unlock.

If I could stop myself from doing the mistake of unlocking the exotics and milestonerewards I got too early I would. But nothing to lose sleep over. As long as I can do the raid I'll be happy, and I'm at 271. I think with new milestones and weekly resets this week I should be able to reach 275.

Not to mention I have like 150+ legendary shards, so worst comes to worst I'll buy exotics from xur and, unless I like it better than what I have, I'll use it to infuse my gear.

I won't touch the raid till the weekend. But the rest of the weekly content should be fair game.

After beating campaign spoiler:

Does anyone else think they rushed to add a new tower to the game close to the game shipping? They talked up the farm and how it will change and stuff. Then we get zero talk or missions about a tower and a cutscene right at the end with no dialogue. When you go back to the farm where Tess should be it's just a silhouette. Lol

Maybe I'm crazy I don't know.

I've had those 3 weapons drop randomly from purple engrams, so it's still possible to get.

...but highly rare

Finally tried pvp......Yeah, it's not for me. I was never the biggest fan of D1 pvp, but 6v6 kept it fairly dynamic and allowed for a few more options. This 4v4 stuff;

1) Makes it a lot more stressy, weaker players faults are exposed much more and a weaker/underperforming player can bring down a whole team. It's therefore less fun for me!

2) Teams seem to have to stick together to be successful which tends to lead to keeping players centred around the same corridor on the map. I found myself and my team spawning, loitering around the same bit and all the shooting happened in the same area, over and over. I never got to properly explore the map.

Also some of the maps are an exercise in pure tedium. So dull to look at and play in.

They're just Vanguard gear, so doing strikes / the nightfall and getting tokens to give to Zavala gives you a chance to get the items.

According to the leaks (which are relatively recent as far as designing a Tower social space goes), there was always slated to be another social space that opened up after you finished the Campaign. From what i can tell, the 'new Tower' is the real social space considering how much detail was put into it, with the Farm being more of a story social space. It's still there and still relevant when you level up your character, and it might still be relevant at some point in the future. But it doesn't seem to be worth going to after you're done with the story.

Perhaps that is fine though since the Farm is pretty small anyway.

Finally finished my Mida Multi-Tool. It's 285 and that puts me at 271. I think it might be time to bench the warlock for a bit though. At least until Raid release. I don't think I have any chance at getting 280 before the reset. Unless I get really lucky with an exotic drop.

Why am I so bad at crucible? :(

I was pretty okay at Destiny 1 crucible, even had some flawless Trials runs under my belt. But I am just getting my shit pushed in here.

Not crazy, just dropped dead instantly.

I think they done it to "shock" us when it happened at the end, was not a shock.. just a mere "huh"

What kinetic weapon has everyone "settled" into in pve and pvp? I'm undecided still. It seems like auto rifles might be the all around best.

When I'm not using MIDA, I'm using an AR. Right now, there's a few that have good stability and what seems like excessively long range. I'm expecting a nerf in the first round of tweaks.

Fully enjoying hard light in energy for what little pvp I did.

Side note, competitive is a joke and the way the play list works is absolutely wank.

Yeah crucible while "feeling" like D1 is entirely new. Having to unlearn old habits is really hard.

4V4 makes your weaknesses really stand out, a team can't handle 1 shit player ( not that you are shit AT ALL) team shots, lanes and time to kill is all much more comp. it's a hard adjustment to make. I love it and hate it. It makes crucible much more sweaty but I also miss the laid back nature of 6V6

I like the new PvP far more than the old one. 6v6 always felt too crowded and messy for my tastes. And the distinct roles played by each class now is really interesting.

Such a shame because I LOVED the music at the farm.

Reach had a whole fireteam communication system that made it all the way to the beta build's UI before being cut for final. It's why marines in Reach have names and show up in the HUD.

Hey guys/gals! Loving the game so far. I joined a GAF clan and we were talking about a DestinyGAF discord for the whole community. Can I get the invite to that discord here, or where should I go to ask about it?

Down to 5 EDZ Tokens, turned in approximately 960 Tokens, for 48 Rank Packages across all 3 Guardians.

Titan took most yo get the set (440 Tokens) Hunter (320 Token), Warlock (200 Tokens) not much

Warlock BiS (Best in Slot) is Power Level 277, (275 w/o best weapons)
Titan BiS is Power Level 272, (268 w/o best weapons)
Hunter BiS is Power Level 271, (267 w/o best weapons)

Still need to do 3 NF, and Exotics quests on all, only Warlock finished MIDA quest and took the final reward from Zavala.

I still need to run the damn campaign twice on Hunter and Titan starting from Mission #3 lol

By the way, the game is hilarious with its algorithm once you hit 29 and receive *Well Rested XP*
Every time I triggered a Bright Engram, my next Reward was a Legendary Engram lol, after my We rested finished, then Legendary dropped back to back:

Hopefully tonight and tomorrow and I accomplish 2 campaigns, NF and starts some Exotic Quests for all 3 before Reset.

So are you supposed to use heavy weapons more often in Destiny 2? In the first game ammo was so hard to come by but it seems like heavy ammo drops much quicker in this game.

I really do miss fusion rifles being secondary weapons. I wonder why they took those out and moved them to heavy weapons.

For all the things you do in Destiny, you think you would get promoted or something.

Is there a reason why youre the only one who had the Light? Couldnt you just showed everyone in the Farm where the Shard is to get it back? Or was I just not paying attention for the reasons? Lol
