As far as we know, it's still on schedule for 2017. I'm doubtful though.

Every time one of these Directs get announced, I feel like a little kid again. The happiness and anticipation for new details on upcoming games, and the surprise announcements...it's a great feeling.

My hopes for this direct:

-Metroid Prime 4 trailer

-Animal Crossing Switch trailer

-Major OS update for Switch following the Direct that includes a 3DS style Activity Log, Themes, updated Friends list that is useful, updated Eshop, additional apps such as YouTube, and Miiverse moving on over to Switch

-New DLC tracks for Mario Kart 8 would be amazing

-Bayonetta 3 or Wonderful 102 announcement

I know the majority of the above is wishful thinking, but I'm good with whatever is announced. I don't build myself up to be let down, Nintendo Directs are just fun to watch.

I'd like to have fairly realistic expectations for this. We arent gonna get any switch pokemon details, probably not a big game like animal crossing switch getting announced, or anything metroid prime related (unless it's for an HD collection of them).

Its totally possible to get a fire emblem trailer which can lead into a free dlc character for FEW

I don't think they'll announce anything really big. September doesn't feel like the right time to me, especially when we still have Metroid, Mario, and Xenoblade they need to focus on.

However...I could see them announcing Animal Crossing Switch, if they show off the mobile game. In that case, do not worry about me, if I do not post for some time. I have frozen myself to wait for the GOAT.
