The nightfall and milestones kinda things will help bump you up a bit especially if you can infuse with items that have the +5 modifiers. I am juuust below 280 because I'm short two modifiers, but once you break that barrier (maybe after reset cus rewards start again) then you can start getting higher drops.

It's actually cos once you break the 280 barrier you essentially can get a +5 light level to every piece of gear cos you can craft legendary mods. It's silly that they gate this at 280.

Yes Flashpoint is to keep the Planets busy, every week it will rotate

Do PTE's, Normal or Heroic, fill up the % meter. Now Heroics, the more you do or activate them the faster you will get to the rewards

Same way with Call to Arms, perform Well and Win get higher % in your progress

The word Friday is sandwiched in between the banners

Reset Tuesday, Raid cones Wednesday, and Trials and Xur arrive on Friday

You may have had a Powerful Gear reward completed but not yet accepted. Those get auto-completed in that case at the reset.

After 260 PL. For now pick a planet you like, put on some headphones and your favorite tunes and grind the ever loving shit out of public events, treasure chests, redeemables, patrols, etc.

It'll get old real fast, and if you want you could do strikes or Crucible instead but they aren't as efficient. Do this for a couple of hours and between the blues that you pick up and the engrams that drop or you get awarded for redeeming tokens you should be 260 fairly quickly.

By then you can do the Nightfall and all the other stuff that awards gear past the 260 cap.
