It's week two. Patience Padawan. I don't see why they couldn't trickle things like that out.
Plus there's other issues to worry about.
Like all individual weapons having the same arch type and perks.
The grind to get perfect armor and weapons rolls is what kept people playing. Unless there's mods to be released, I'm worried there just won't be anything to work towards once we hit 350 PvE wise and have one of everything.

Did you do the world quest for EDZ yet? I really liked
the unlocked locations to that area.

I think devs and players just assume when we reduce the raid to farm mode everyone will quit except hardcore pvp types, until the next DLC.
Theres nothing really bad with that.

The game should launch with more than this bare bones endgame. I am not confident in bungie adding things, d1 they were incredibly slow. They could be doing so much more with this game.

You get legendary engrams as a reward. Cash some chips in when you are L20 and your power level is going up "too slowly". That's probably somewhere between 220 and 260 for most people.
You can buy blue stuff with glimmer if you want. Technically it's better to save glimmer and buy mods with it ready for end-game legendary mod crafting, but you won't lose much at all by buying the occasional gun while levelling.
Yep, the weapon is either good/fits your play-style or isn't. No more, oh boy, it's what I want but has a shitty perk on it. Feels good.

Bounties are now known as challenges. They are available in almost every in-game activity. If you bring up the ghost you can see them listed on the right. They come in 3's

Finished the story the other day and.. the story was pretty forgettable and unengaging TBH. Ghaul is as basic as villains get and I can't unsee Vader in his face. It's probably intentional, but looking like a bloated version of one of the most famous villains of all time is not a good look and does it no favours. Failsafe is the best thing about the campaign but.. yeah I still get the feeling that Bungie is squandering good lore into really mediocre storylines.
The missions themselves were fantastic and I'm not down on the gameplay, which was top notch, just the story. Just a bit too much Cabal for a game that offers so much otherwise. I understand the entire campaign is focused on the Red Legion, and expansions may expand on other things that are going on simultaneously with other races, but for having these pretty fleshed out other races in the game, they really feel like they're just thrown in to give you enemy diversity during extended Cabal shootouts like "ZOMG LOOKS LIKE THE FALLEN FOLLOWED US HERE TOO! SHOOT THEM TOO!" Doesn't help that the Cabal aren't as interesting to fight as, say, the Vex or Fallen.
That said, this was my first time fighting Taken enemies and holy FUCK do they look so fucking cool, and make for interesting combatants on the battlefield. Getting countered by a Taken Phalanx is a humbling experience.
EDIT: Also there were several weird moments with how encounters were set up that didn't make sense. Like you open a door, a Cabal is surprised you're there, you kill him, and then walk 2 steps and there are Fallen just looking in the other direction like you're supposed to stealth kill them. Like they were all just chilling here looking in opposite directions?

Ok I've been talking a lot of shit about the PvP but I played some casual playlist last night and I think I'm finally starting to get a hang of this game. It's more methodical and "balanced" than the original. Takes some getting used to but I think I'm finally starting to have more fun with this now that I've got a better variety of weapons at my disposal
