Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Grenade Launchers are so bad, I think Bungie need to rework them all to make them more viable. I'm dismantling any legendary one I get, I know I'll never use it over the other power weapon types, like ever.
Needs a bigger splash damage range.

Is everything tied between mp and sp again in destiny 2? If so they won't increase the splash range, maybe just buff direct hits.

IMO, Sidearms, submachine guns and shotguns are awful in PvE.

Sidearms are just a weaker shittier version of the regular auto/burst/scout rifles. The only advantage is a fast switch speed, but that's only really useful in PvP.
SMGs are a shit version of an autorifle with insanely bad recoil. I don't even know what the point of them is. They need to do a lot more damage to make up for the lack of precision bonus damage (not to mention completely missed shots).
Shotguns are just a shit sword.

Are drops based on your current equipment or your total loadout? I know engrams use your best theoretical loadout (even including the vault and alts) but I'm not sure about chests and mob-drops.
I'd like to leave my SMGs in the backpack if possible.
I wish I'd kept my damaged city armour so I could do a quick test.

Lmao no, just no. Side arms and sub's are awesome in pve.

There are two things to consider with maintenance, first of all, it is daytime somewhere and then, more importantly having it now, at the start of the day in America allows Bungie to have the most staff on site in case of any issues.

Yall seriously need to chill lmao. For an always online game they need to do maintenance when most of their staff is there. Not to mention it works perfectly since afternoon is when they have the most people, since plenty of fans have you know, work in the US in the morning.

Lol, nope. that's not how it works. You don't need most of company on watch to do 'server maintenance' or to put stuff in production in general. Those things are handled by relatively small teams, and are done, without exception, at the time where your business is less impacted by the offline time. Which is of course what Bungie has done here. Europe tier 2 as always .

Is this the one with a platform with electrocuting shanks and a motherfucking cloaked bullshit teleporting Fallen captain boss? Because that shit is already unfun without any modifiers as is. Ugh.

this fucking strike sucks. might be the worst destiny encounter of all time, yes, up there with wretched eye. fuck this strike

I use the Prospector and it's great. I use it as a super powered rapid fire shotgun. It does ridiculous damage. I can't imagine using anything else in the power slot unless they release some better rockets. Or give us our heavy machine guns.

Pretty much every new or reworked weapon class is horrible. Grenade Launchers are awful, Sidearms are awful, the only good SMGs are Riskrunner for PVE and maaaaybe Antiope-D for PVP. They seriously need to do some balancing.

Custom slot only

when you complete all daily challenges on a planet, is there any need to hand them in anywhere? or do you automatically get the rewards for completing them?

Right now the least amount of impact is business hours US for working hours, and you're saying that instead they should have people come in US times at like super late night/early morning hours? That's a tad unfair on their personnel. Maintenance happens during these times on plenty of games.

Grenade launchers are very underrated tbh maybe they could do with a small damage buff but the large mag ones (especially The Prospector) are fantastic for large target dps

So I tried using Sturm and Drang last night, what a disappointment. Sure not running out of ammo is ok, but they're both so middling/bad as guns in their own rights, it's not even worth it.

Also, got Merciless out of an exotic engram. Fucking insanely OP on bosses/yellows and I wish I had it during the Nightfall.

Looks like i am the only one who really enjoys to play with Sturm and Drang :( Had a blast with it last night

Grenade launchers need to do more damage in general. Sidearms do more damage than them.

They also bounce off the ground like they were hit by Barry Bonds. If you don't hit a target first, what's the point? There's almost no AOE. They're just like shittier rocket launchers.

Rocket launchers are more useful for bosses and large crowds. Grenade launchers only seem useful against powerful lower tier enemies due to less splash and more ammo.

What are you smoking? Side arms are great. Use them at the correct range and it's an incredible weapon type. SMGs are in the same category, up close and personal they wreck. GLs are fine. Use them correctly and reap the rewards

Nah dude. Every rocket I've found only holds one rocket. With The Prospector you fire 8 grenades at a boss it doing great damage before you need to reload. The single shot GLs need love though

lol i almost called in sick today. I literally typed the email out and said nah, there is no point rushing through the game to get raid ready. it can wait a couple more days. Glad i didnt waste my PTO.

I am still so conflicted about spending my tokens at level 244. On one hand, I am already sick of getting same light level blues from Public events and other drops. On the other hand, i know how bad the soft cap was in Rise of Iron.

What I am wondering is if 200 EDZ, Titan and Nessus tokens are enough to go from 244 to 265. I have yet to do any strikes, crucible, milestones and post story missions. Went from 200 to 244 after the main story just doing adventure missions and public events. heroic triggers are awesome!

If 200 tokens give me 20 legendary engrams. That's 5 extra light levels per engram. Even counting from duplicates, shouldnt that be enough to hit the 265 cap of these token engrams? I can then focus on strikes, milestones, cayde's caches and post campaign story missions to hit 280 or until i get the raid mission.

OK, of course you don't need the whole dev team, but you still need the team in charge of that there, and doing it within normal work hours just makes sense.

That is how it was done in the studio I worked in that had a live game anyway...

Grenade Launchers are good for PvE from my experience

Sidearms are... YMMV

SMGs are amazing for PvE Burst Damage and PVP close quarters

Masterbate, it's what I did. Now what to do with the remaining 2hours 59 mins.....

Is there a new Nightfall this week? And do we know if the Rat King quest will still be available after the Refresh?

Also, do we know all of the Exotics that are available as a quest reward? Is there a good guide?

I only like Sidearms that are 3-round Burst or Full Auto personally. I can't pull the trigger for single-fire ones fast enough for them to be useful for me. Not to mention that is tiring as hell.

The prospector would be much better if the grenades were sticky and you could detonate them all at once. Right now they seem to just bounce everywhere and not do much damage.

On the other hand, merciless seems so ridiculously OP that I don't know when I'd put on a grenade launcher in pve.

SMGs tear down enemies at close range, I really like the MIDA minitool for close quarters and the multitool for long distance. Perfect combo.

I would use a fast firing single if it had a hair trigger and a good reload perk

Anyone have the issue that planet materials or chest not give out anything? I've had it happen where I looted 4 chests in a row and at least 5 dusklight and got nothing from any of them.

FRs are pretty much the best Power weapons, imo. I never liked FRs in D1 but they're pretty awesome in D2. I'm currently using Critical Sass.

Sturm and Drang are my babies. Drang is my favourite sidearm in D2 and Sturm is fantastic if you like the type of hand cannon it is. Once you get in to the rhythm of using them together it's beautiful.
Never having to reload, having up to 20 (twenty!) rounds in the hand cannon plus the small boost to precision damage. Wonderful

Why sacrifice a weapon slot for a gun that needs to be at a point blank range to be effective when auto rifles fill the same role of a high RoF close combat weapons and are also way more effective at a distance?

Yes, & yes.

The Nightfall will change weekly & the quest itself its to complete a Nightfall with 5+ minutes left, not necessarily a particular one.

Also, do we know all of the Exotics that are available as a quest reward? Is there a good guide?

No to this. Most exotics you will have to get through RNG via exotic engrams. Fun times are ahead, my friend.

lol yeah I just signed on too -_-

How long is the maintenance ?

This helps:
