Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

At what point do Exotic quests start popping up?
I'm at light level 241, and I've finished the story and all the adventures on EDZ... Still no
MIDA MULTI-TOOL
quest icon... 😐

I haven't taken the exotic for finishing the story yet, could that have something to do with it?

Why sacrifice a weapon slot for a gun that needs to be at a point blank range to be effective when auto rifles fill the same role of a high RoF close combat weapons and are also way more effective at a distance?

Because they are fun? They wreck stuff up close, very accurate hip fire and dude... Sturm and Drang ftw

Do the world quests (blue icons) that you see in the map after finishing the story mode. Can't miss it.

Warlocks, what is your ideal skill loadout/build for Stormcaller or Dawnblade?

Is there a "Best" build for Warlocks atm? Cant decide which route I like best on Stormcaller.

I am still so conflicted about spending my tokens at level 244. On one hand, I am already sick of getting same light level blues from Public events and other drops. On the other hand, i know how bad the soft cap was in Rise of Iron.

What I am wondering is if 200 EDZ, Titan and Nessus tokens are enough to go from 244 to 265. I have yet to do any strikes, crucible, milestones and post story missions. Went from 200 to 244 after the main story just doing adventure missions and public events. heroic triggers are awesome!
I can tell you from experience if you want to min/max your time, do a token turnin every now and then. I had like 260 tokens at 259 PL and by the time I turned them all in I was getting all 265 with probably 120 tokens left. I then finished out those 120 tokens and got maybe one piece with a +5 mod so it's your call if you want to gamble for getting a +5 piece, but I wasn't very lucky. Each turn in is usually 2 purples so if you wanted to maximize your time, you do a turn in and maybe a few events then another turn in. There's a small chance of getting a +5 mod too when doing these

Did they hotfix something with the controls yesterday? I was getting a terrible dead spot when moving my cursor from left to right in the first week, but it seemed much improved yesterday.

Grenade Launchers are so bad, I think Bungie need to rework them all to make them more viable. I'm dismantling any legendary one I get, I know I'll never use it over the other power weapon types, like ever.

Orthrus is amazing. Any of the manual detonation GL are great.

Do you just have to equip the broken piece and kill and bunch of baddies to unlock stormcaller?

Yeah, same as the Voidwalker subclass. You dont equip it though, once you have it in your inventory it will progress towards unlocking. Do a bunch of public events for it to go faster.;

As LiK said they're the blue icons. However they're power level 260+ and personally I wouldn't do them yet. I just did the mida one at 274 and got a 281 mida out of it. I'd save them so you can get very high level ones

Oh, sweet, I got it out of a chest randomly and was trying to figure out how to get it unlocked, lol.

Stormcaller was killer in D1.

Rocket launchers are more useful for bosses and large crowds. Grenade launchers only seem useful against powerful lower tier enemies due to less splash and more ammo.

I really don't think that's the case at all, especially in Destiny 2. I think a GL does more damage in a shorter amount of time, which is useful.

Yeah... I know about them. I've seen pictures of them.
They just don't show up on my maps.

This happened to a friend of mine. If I remember right, he hadn't collected the reward for one of the main story quests so they weren't activated.

Man I just don't understand why this game doesn't have a ranked leaderboard like Halo 2/3.

PVP is super sweaty but there is absolutely no reward or progress for it.

At least let me see some progress Bungie, you did this shit a decade ago.

Can someone give me a list of the best legendary weapons I should save?

As a Hunter, should I prioritize Mobility and Resilience on the armor?

Vanguard Scout/Auto rifle are really good and popular. "Call to Serve" a kinetic scout rifle I am using is stellar.

I would prioritize mobility and recovery as base recovery is really low in Destiny 2

The bottom perk trees seem to be very popular right now providing better support to fireteams. The stormcaller Arc Souls provide more rift benefits. I will be using that talent tree with the Lunafaction boots to provide even more rift benefits in the raid.

Are grenade launchers and submachine guns the only two new gun types?

Linear Fusion Rifles are their own type now

My favourite so far are Nameless Midnight, Origin Story, Annual Skate, Seven-Six-Five, Call to Serve, Galiard-42 and Complex Solution. Keep in mind it's all from the PVE perspective, I don't do much Crucible in D2.

Yup. Like I said, I know about the blue icons..they just don't show up.
I was told to not take the exotic story engram and the end of the story from
Zavala
... That's the only thing I can think of is that the game is gating me off.

Destiny noob looking for advice! (Titan main)

Sentinel for Nightfalls/Raid? Top path seems good? Thoughts?
Strikers seems really good for solo/easier content. The top and bottom both paths both look great. I can't decide which I like more. I love the self healing/melee play style.
Sunbreaker just seems so lackluster compared to the other two. Am I missing something here? What do they excel at. I loved it in TTK (the little I played) but it seems really meh this time around.

I notice some Adventures give skill points as a reward. Is it possible to unlock everything in all trees?

I only played a bit of vanilla Destiny 1, so going into this I feel like a bit of a novice and have a couple of questions:

1) What should I do with unused weapons and gear? I have searched around and can't seem to find anywhere to sell it.

2) I joined a clan, but I'm not sure how to find members in game. They aren't showing up in the roster section, so should add them on PSN as well?

3) Anything else major I should know?

Hold square to turn them into glimmer/parts in the menu.

Just swinging in the dark here, but..

-end game stuff-

After you beat the story, did you go to the tower & speak with everyone? That seemed to "initiate" the end game for me as I want able to really do anything until after I spoke with them. There's also a lot going on at the tower the first time you go, so it was easy for me to overlook talking to someone.

Feels good getting the Prestige Nightfall Done before maintenance.

Defenders were always useful in D1 raids and were always sought after. Can't go wrong with bubble, although it was nerfed in D2. Still, a bubble is a bubble and will be useful.

Striker is great for PVE solo content and PVP. Not very useful in raids unless they change the raid formula.

Sunbreaker isn't as strong as it was in D1 for whatever reason, it even got it's sun dash ability taken away. Best avoided. Thermite grenade can do some serious work though to dumb hordes of enemies.

Yes you can unlock everything skill tree wise.

I think this is the problem. I'm pretty sure they appeared for a friend when he picked up the reward.

Hmmm. I can't remember what the trigger was for me then. Perhaps the light level needs to be above 260 first? It's fairly achievable with just public events anyway and by that point you'll be very close to ready to take the end of story engram anyway.

I wouldn't worry too much. Whatever the trigger is you'll have hit it by the time you're ready to do them.
