That's the Boomerang Cutter color.

So that's a neat detail that the colors of X's alts appear to all be references to the special weapons he has in Infinite. Frost Shield's or Sonic Slicer's colors if this trend continues are going to look really good if they're in.

Thanks to my friend from Discord, he managed to find the picture of Mega Man with the choices of colors.

It seems that 4th color is going to be Sonic Slicer's. :D

Personally I'd like if the scaling would quickly degenerate over time when in neutral (think like a hidden stun bar that decays really fast) over of it just instantly resetting when a combo drops. With the way damage scales at the moment combined with the tag mechanic I think resets are going to be really really used in this game like in Skullgirls. It would be an adjustable knob to keep resets strength in check (by adjusting the decay time of scaling with balance patches)

Professor Thorgi posted his pre-launch concerns for MvCI. While most of them are valid, I'm not 110% on the part about the story being dated within the grand scheme of things in the Marvel Universe. I'm assuming he means in terms of who's who in regards to legacy characters, seeing as Sam Wilson as Captain America was one of his biggest requests. He does have a point about the roster seeming like it was made by committee for both Marvel & Capcom (even outside of the Fox ban).

The inflections in this guys voice sound as if watched Max meticulously and purposefully tailored them to mirror him

Agreed. Thats why 8 way airteching is huge to fuck over tag reset shenanigans.

One of the few things that bothers me is how little chip is in the game.
I think this is a bigger concern in the game than the damage scaling in the game. Characters like Chris rely on chip to do any damage in neutral (Chris was nicknamed Chip Minefield in Marvel 3) so it blocks out certain archetypes from being good.

I don't think that's going to be the meta for resets.

Moves that normally have hard knockdown into an OTG, if you use them a second time cause a soft knockdown but the opponent can't tech roll into certain directions off of it. This works with Dante's Hammer, the second Hammer forces them to get up on the ground and they have to guess after that. Yipes already has a one hit reset into character death off Dante with it.

Doesn't even seem that hard of a combo, probably very close to just his BNB with 1 bar finishing with 3 bars. Power stone really adds a chunk of damage to hypers, I guess it changes damage scaling.

LOL did they forgot to add damage scaling to Thanos' lvl1 hyper?

Chun-Li seems to be a low health character if LIJoe's testing is right, so it looks like there might be ToD combos on low health characters (Zero/Chun/X/Etc) that wouldn't work on higher health characters like any of the big bodies.

Nice! That's the one I was hoping for of the two. I wanted that metallic navy blue.

Did your friend get a shot of Zero's? Zero rarely changed color in the games outside of Black Armor so it should be easy to pin the references just from the character select screen. Only other one that jumps at me is Zero Virus from X5 / X6 before Capcom pulls "other character" colors like Vile's and Axl's.

I still wonder what they're going to pick for Zero's costume. The easy choice would be X1's look, but that's just the current model with a streamlined torso, no shoulder pads, and smoothed white bracers on his hands.

I'd be more impressed if they went with his MMZ look, diaper and all. I doubt anyone would care that he would have a buster instead of the gun.

Yeah, that looks like they f'd up the damage scaling, given that supers feel much more similar to Blazblue or MvC2 damage wise in the game.

Thanos doesn't have scaling, he needs to look good for the upcoming Avengers Infinity War, in theatres everywhere soon.

Pre-purchase your ticket now!

Is it possible that, even if the game doesn't reach 2mil as fast as Capcom wants, that it still ends up being profitable given how much content is reused?

I'd like to get the game down the line, and for it to have a better roster through DLC.

Also, any X vids?

Might be the case. RE7 was profitable from like 2 million or something and they expected 4. So could be a case here where the expectations aren't tied to just breaking even.

what if marvel told capcom that thor, black panther and thanos need to be top tier so they get the most time on streams

that 5 dimensional 2018 marketing at work

Gamora hasn't even had a reign like Zero did with MVC3 and TvC. Leave her out of this.
Don't forget SNK vs Capcom! Zero is destined to always be top tier lol

I think the only version of a crossover Zero that sucks is the Mii Swordfighter costume in Smash 4. And that's not actually Zero.

So I've not really kept up with this game, I bought it cheap on a key site because I loved MvC2/3, this game isn't set to have a fight money system but is charging premium for costumes, is this correct? (Not really bothered just curious!) The DLC of 6 characters will be the total or will we see multiple season passes? Sorry, sure it has been asked. 😓

I'm PC, which makes the two of us the only PC players on this entire damn forum it seems

No fight money.

6 characters for the first season. So it's assumed there will be more but of course if the game hella bombs they could cancel the future passes.

I'm getting PC version too, so four.

But I'm also getting Xbox One and PS4 versions.

Thank you!!!! Really appreciate the info! Four indeed, hell yeah. 😎 I hope there's a chance for Jill someday! Putting my hopes in future passes but like the base roster so it's fine!

I'm just glad we can buy costumes Injustice 2s costume system has turned into some kinda mobile game hell I spend 90% of my time afk letting my ai do everything so I never play. I think this is the only time I've ever been happy to buy dlc.

I wonder if they'll give away DLC codes with ticket purchases for MCU films. I could see Thor: Ragnarök being a good opportunity to offer up the Thor & Hulk costumes.

That'd be a godlike promo tie in. But given that the Thor/Hulk preorder costumes are clearly Rag3 inspired, probably something to save for say, Black Panther.

Wouldn't that be the perfect time to make money selling those costumes rather than giving them away?
