Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Alright D-GAF, I'm planning on doing my first raid tomorrow, thing is I work til the afternoon. So if anyone plans to raid tomorrow night after 4pm Central then hit me up on XBL, gamertag is UberLevi.

Got the console version on rental to hold me over until PC launch but would like to experience the raid first-hand before calling it quits. Played a bunch of Destiny 1 but like I said I'll be a raid newbie. Sentinel Titan currently at 267 Light, btw. Got a Vigilance Wing and Mask of the Quiet One setup.

Bungie has extended downtime to analyze forums like ours and gauge how close to crack this game is, and adjust the dopamine drip accordingly.

Based on some of the responses here, it seems the withdrawal symptoms are close to appropriate levels.

I think its because the first time in a week we can actually increase our level rather than just hitting our heads on a brick wall.

Ah, fuck it. Wanted to finish off my Hunter and Titan today, but will be 10PM here by the time they delay it for another hour or two.
Well hopefully I'm in the Guided Games beta tomorrow, will make doing the Nightfall a bit quicker, instead of having to wait for my friends to be online.

So now it wont be up until 5pm EST? Is that correct?

This probably needs to be revealed by bungie, as it seems like it was suppose to be a shocker moment and was the only reason I actually figured he died (big reveal, then he dies soon after) while it seems most people didn't think he did. Also there being more than one speaker doesn't really mean the whole system isn't a falsity, someone just takes the new role as the scheme master.

I'm not sure how much of a shocker moment it's actually supposed to be as much as it's clearly intended to put an end to the theory that The Speaker was secretly evil somehow. But it's in the history and lore of Destiny that The Speaker was a position that was created to help keep humanity and it's factions from warring amongst themselves needlessly. People are elected to the position. It wouldn't make sense to make up a direction communication with The Traveler for that. It's not necessary.

I pay $120/mo for my fiber. No TV or anything though.

Worth it.

I'd rather it not be broken in the first place.

I was playing mostly fine this past week though. I'd rather continue to play on a day that I don't have any other responsibilities.
Such is software development unfortunately.

Honestly I’m fine with this maintenance. Much bigger problems to worry about like Floridians without power, food, and (drinking) water. They haven’t been able to play for days. Calm down guys.

I wouldn't care honestly if not for the Raid coming out Wednesday and having to get a ton of leveling done beforehand if I want to experience a blind run. I'm probably not alone.

No, I agree. It does suck for those that couldn't grind out power week one. I know a bunch of people that were relying on the reset to finish gearing up to be raid ready.

Does nobody realize that this was SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE?!

Yeah, it's an hour past the time they said it would be complete by, but get over it. Everyone knew it was coming.
How does one know it is coming? I do not use social media for anything related to gaming, only play when I can which is not very often, and I tend to not really read the messages of the day (if they even have them, I do not know as I do not read them).

So how would I have known it was coming exactly?
