it's the only thing I want

have diddy as the main character and have legit swapping with dixie

Diddy's Kong Quest Returns: DKC Returns 3

I know people from Retro read this site, just make this game. don't worry about the backlash, the world will be better off with the trilogy. Metroid Prime got a fucking trilogy it's Donkey Kong's turn now.

A third Retro DKCR that returns to Crocodile Isle with a dark aesthetic and music by David Wise would be the stuff of dreams. Eff the haters.

Gonna go ahead and guess the following:

-probably more info about Odyssey than most of us want considering we're already sold on the game

-release dates for everything announced but without a release date yet (aside from Pokemon and MP4) along with little previews of most of them (Skyrim, rocket league, etc)

-some highlights of upcoming indie titles.

-release date for the 2nd half of Zelda DLC.

-maybe a new game announcement. Gonna go ahead and guess Pikmin 4.

-first proper trailer for MP4 at the end of the direct.

My most anticipated title.

I hate you for not putting that Disclaimer above the picture

I asked this in another thread but didn't get an answer, so here we go. Capcom has been relying on external studios for these ports right? Not knowing how those relationships work, is it reasonable to assume that they might not want to add to their workload after an agreement was already reached? To me that would explain why their Switch ports are so late.

Good question. No clue though, but that would imply that Capcom knows what they are doing and aren't allergic to money.

Lmao that's a new one.

Adding NSMB Wii/U style 4 player to Mario Maker really does seem like the logical next step. Also slopes.

Actually would love this. Didn't have a Wii U and with online player levels it would be incredible.

If they mention Animal Crossing on switch I would be super happy with this direct.

My best guess is Mario Odyssey footage. Xenoblade release date and footage. Stardew Valley release date. Kirby footage

I just want SMM2 for Switch. Everything the first one has plus a ton of new content.

Yeah I have a feeling this will focus on third parties a bit more than most people here seem to think. Platinum is essentially confirmed, I'm betting we'll see Skyrim and potentially another Bethesda game (please DOOM, boo FO4), Ubisoft said they'd be announcing more Switch games "very soon", with TGS next week we can expect a solid amount of JP third party announcements (and maybe a new Octopath Traveler trailer?)... I wouldn't be surprised to see LA Noire, maybe Payday 2 again, maybe something from EA/Activision, maybe Konami, maybe Capcom (yeah right)...

And then a few indie games too, like Hollow Knight and Thimbleweed Park.

Thinking about it this direct needs to be big, its their braiadcast not to just sell games but to sell the system this Christmas

It's not like they need to go all out to sell the system this holiday but yeah, hopefully they do.

I'd love SMM for Switch, but I don't understand how they will implement the editor. The gamepad was kind of perfect for that, and it would be more of a hassle with the Switch since it doesn't have a stylus and when it's docked.

I imagine they'll figure something out, SMM was a potential goldmine that was stuck on a dead platform. I'd be really surprised if we don't see a port or remake this gen.

Man, I'm so excited for this, but I think what I'm hoping for the most is UI updates/VC announcements. Just announcing the latter will be the megaton of the day. As far as IP announcements go, I'd like to be surprised, but I'm perched for a Pikmin 4 or Animal Crossing trailer.

I'd expect at least one decently significant first party game announcement from Nintendo here. I think this is our last opportunity for a Smash 4 Switch port announcement, with release in the early months of '18, otherwise I think they'd have moved on. Mario Maker port is another good guess, though my money is on Pikmin 4. Miyamoto said a while ago the next game was close to completion, and I don't think he was referring to Hey! Pikmin. I'd imagine Pikmin 4 was a similar situation to Pikmin 3, trying to get it done as a swan song for a console but ending up moving it to the next instead.

My gut feeling is that Animal Crossing will be a Holiday '18 title, and I think they're on record as saying the mobile game is coming first, no? Once that's finally announced the countdown for the Switch game announcement can begin.

Has anyone ever been to the live broadcasting in Nintendo NY?

Now that I live in NY I kinda want to see how it is but not sure how it's going to be like.
