Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

So someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Legendary 1 you want to power up is 275 with a +5 mod = 280
Legendary 2 you want to infuse is base 280 with no mod
Outcome is Legendary 1 base 280 +5 mod = 285

But

Legendary 1 is base 275 with no mod
Legendary 2 to infuse is base 280 with +5 mod
Outcome is Legendary 1 is now base 280 with no mod

This is correct.

There's always Wednesday...

Europe only edition launch week exclusive!!

To be fair they are doing it now as it is their time zone but they should have altered their work hours to disrupt as few users as possible in launch week.

Got it

I think you read that wrong

If or when you're 280 or higher in this scenario go to the Gunsmith and buy a +5 mod for the piece of gear you're infusing to gain another +5 PL.

Once 280+ PL always check to see if the gear you want to use to infuse another piece of gear has a mod or not and what kind. Always add a +5 mod if it doesn't already have one for the extra gains. Just make sure your existing gear already has a +5 mod as well as it is also needed to get the extra gain.

Long story short both pieces need to have a +5 mod to get the extra +5 PL gain.

Maybe, I read it as "if I infuse a modded item into an unmodded item will it keep the mod?"
You don't keep the mod if you infuse your modded items into others, it also loses the 5 extra power level the mod gives it, if it's into a unmodded item.

im talking about the right way around

270 Gun >>>>> 215 Gun with + 5 = 270 Gun with +5

Right?

They should add a feature to infusing that will show you what the final result will be from infusing.

Mind. Blown.

I'm not even being sarcastic here. Shit is way too complicated as it is. I mean, I get it now but that's only because I'm studying Destiny at Neogaf these days xD. My friend who doesn't really research things about Destiny will have a hard time understanding how it works.

I agree. It's just a simple thing-the game knows what the final product will be as soon as I click the button-why can't I just preview that before clicking accept?

I realized yesterday that you can infuse from the vault too, you don't even need it in your inventory. Pretty amazing.

(e.g. I put my 280 in the vault, and it shows up on the 260's in my inventory as "infuseable")

It's really not that complicated. It's a lot simpler than in taken king up to the april (?) update (where they introduced 100% infusion)

Hope this isnt an indication as to how scheduled maintenance will go for the next few weeks. They really should try to do these overnight whenever possible.

You do know that overnight is daytime for the rest of Europe, right? It is not like the US is the only place people live. Eventually some countries will have some annoying maintenance issues.
