Maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt. I know I'm not perfect. I have fucked so much up in my life I'm not proud of much, to be perfectly honest. Maybe he is seeing the light, or just because attention is being drawn to him? We'll never know, but in the mean time we can all get good.

I watched UM Tyrants' beginner videos earlier, wow. Those infinity stones, sheeeit. Which do I fucking choose?!
 
Gotta give props to him for that but I always find it kind of weird that people who got it earlier than others by like a week get shit for competing so soon after. I mean if every pro that played early wasn't allowed or dropped out then it would make for a pretty bum tournament with no pros (Sans Chris G who apparently isn't in the Illuminati). Obviously there's the argument they've had a week longer than you to practice and learn, but if I went to an Injustice 2 Tournament and lost to SonicFox (if he got it early which I believe he did) it's more likely he won because he's just that good at the games than it is I lost because he had 7 more days of training mode than me lol.

It also knocks things ot of whack for other high-level players. While Goku187 may have lost whether J. Womg had a copy of MvCi for a week or an hour before SCR, a player like Paradigm, MarlinPie, Priest etc. may be at a legitimate deficit due mostly to lack of time.
It also helps with the appearance of fairness in the scene which is probably more important.

This is true. Have these players commented much on the matter? It just seems like most of the heat comes from Kappa, Online Warriors, and stream monsters lol. I can very easily in the future and even present imagine that some top people are going to claim they don't have it and then play it in secret haha. (Chris G doing Soul Reflect as we speak).

Kbrad spoke about it on stream earlier. Short version is he don't give a fuck and pros would body scrubs even if they got the game 7 days late.

Which is true :p

He also mentioned ppl in N.Y. always get games early, so should everyone in N.Y. also sit the tournaments out.

Not that I've seen. They're all likely to find a copy in the wild in the next few days anyway. Anyone who attends events regularly and play at an above average level will most likey be connected enough to get a copy before launch or just head to a mom and pop shop.

The thing that gets me is would all the people that shit their rage out on these Urly copy pros decline an early copy themselves if they could get their hands on it?

I can confidently say if I was offered an early copy I could wait.

I don't care that he got an early copy. But you sleep in the bed that you make. A bunch of people don't care and didn't care last year when LPN and Graham Wolfe got early copies of SFV. Then Justin made this huge stink about it, which I would argue cultivated this entire precedent in the first place.

That tweet I posted earlier wasn't some random. It was someone who works for Circa, LPN's sponsor. He knows the score.

How many conversations is it gonna take for you to have with him and his ilk to realize those people just want to argue about shit? Homeboys like him always waltz in and try to drum up something and barely ever fuck around with a fighting game. Just put him on ignore like I did and go about your day.

Maybe he has a point this time, maybe he doesn't. People change, Justin switching his stance is probably due to blowback but the end result is him not entering a tournament so whether or not his intentions are noble is a discussion meant for people who just want blowups.

Hey now in all fairness, it was my first discussion with him haha. And really it's directed more towards all the other people who've made a huge stink about it (most of them not on GAF anyway, but hello lurkers). Alas, I throw these bones anyway because I just wonder if maybe someone would realize how petty they sound when they say things like "He slept in the bed he made" as if he didn't just play the game early but rather cheated on his wife/taxes/stole a hamburger from a hobo. Obviously we know the answer to that is close to "no one" because people don't like admitting they're hypocrites. Human nature.*

If someone is turning down playing Marvel early then they're either not the big of a fan anyway or they have a warped sense of virtue and the means of obtaining righteousness. Like they're just depriving themselves of a video game for a week, not saving kittens from trees lol. With that said I wish I could get in on some early games, if I work hard enough maybe I can make top 128 at Evo 2019!

*Speaking of hypocrites, I'm aware of Justin's comments from last (?) year. I'm sure he's aware people have brought this up so he took the route of practicing what he preached so good on him for doing that. He must have known he would have never heard the end of it otherwise.

Looking at the other spoilers it's a shame that it seems outside what is posted right now. We have seen most of it from the trailers. Doesn't seem to be any surprises in store. In terms of cameos and such.
 
Obviously the .zip leak contains all six DLC characters if Venom and Winter Soldier don't appear in the story. I guess Meio's going to be playable after all.
